Litigation Law Group Took my money and did not complete the services agreed to Anaheim, California
I received a mailing from Litigation Law Group in September of 2012. The indication was that I may be eligible for
a HAPM2 mortgage modification program. Icalled the number, asked questions and searched the internet for any signs of
fraud. I found that the government sponsored program was legitimate, and to date, there were no complaints about
Litigation Law Group that I could find.
I agreed to move forward for the $3,500 retainer that I was told was required. I completed the necessary paperwork and awaited a response. There was no contact made from the company for over 6 weeks. I tried repeatedly to contact the company and was sent to voice mail. When I finally contacted them in late October, I was told that there was a flood and that all of my documents, including all of my contact information were lost. The representative asked that I resend all of
the documentation.
Weeks later, our area was hit with a devastating storm. I had property damage that was not covered by insurance and I chose to request a refund of my money from Litigation Law Group and withdraw from my second attempt to apply to the program.
After one month of attempts at reaching the company, I finally made contact with a Supervisor in customer service who told me that there is a five day cancellation policy. I was never disclosed on this policy. I asked for a refund and was told that my only choices were to continue with my application or to be sent to review for consideration of a refund of an undermined amount that could take up to two months. I chose to pursue this review but made it clear that I was not at all satisfied
with the service nor was I convinced of its legitimacy.
I am reaching out to you for help, both to prevent any more innocent people from being robbed of their hard earned money, and in hopes that you can be of help in getting my money returned. I know, now, that there are many companies that are scamming people with the hopes of qualifying for this program. I am not sure if LLG is one of them, but they surely meet the criteria.
