Melody is very rude to say the least.
I was looking into getting great danes and happened to come across her website. I posted her website to a few different forums and most of them said from the looks of her website she was not a reputtable breeder. I gave her a call anyway, and had a conversation for about 40 min with her. She insisted that these people were just liars and that if I go looking under every rock then "eventually I would find what I was looking for". Boy was she right. There was another lady who posted on her old Facebook page about having received a dog from Melody that had neurological defeciences and had to be put down. When I asked her about this she went on and on about the other lady's personally life, like people who normally gossip ove to do. She said this lady was crazy and that she had moved away from san antonio to colorado with her son so they could legally smoke weed. Why bring all of that up?? Oh wait, because liars try to deflect the attention off of themselves. Anywho, she never made it a point to care what kind of home the pup would be going into and instead insisted that I give a deposit. (FYI reputable breeders care more about the pups than the money)
After hearing her side and listening to what she had to say, I made a deposit in 500 bucks through paypal the next day. However, through more research, I realized she really wasnt the person that she hyped herself up to be. She specifically kept asking me to join her Facebook page yet every time I searched for it, it never popped up. NOW I KNOW WHY! It's hidden from the public because if it wasn't she would receive open reviews from the people that she has sold to that AREN'T the specific demographic of people whom she likes or didnt give bad dogs or treat poorly.
Anyhow, upon noticing the many signs I filed a dispute with paypal and LET HER KNOW the night of, that I put the deposit in her account on hold until I figured out whether or not she was right for me. I told her this! Now fast forward a few days later. We spoke, and again she had a way with words, and she assured me everything would be fine and to stop doing research on her because I would find bad stuff if I kept looking hard enough. Well, I did just the opposite and continued, found more dirt and said I had enough. When Wells Fargo asked if I would like my deposit back I said yes. I had no intentions on speaking to her after this although it maybe would've been nice to follow up and say I would look elsewhere.
Now today I get a several messages and calls from her telling me her account is in the negative (not my problem that you dont know how to keep your account in good standing) and that I needed to fix it swiftly (mind you it is 9am in the morning when people have jobs. She went from being this very sweet lady who could never do any wrong, to as soon as she found out I received my deposit back and didnt want to do business with her, she immeditely treated me like crap. Regardless of if it is a former, existing, or potential client, you treat everyone with respect and this lady does not! Especially when she sees you no longer want to do business with her! Through several different text messages she tries to belittle me as well as treat me as though I am incompetent of understanding the smallest things even though I am the one who graduated with a Bachelors. If I am allowed to post the text exchanged between us I will def do so. She also removed me from the Facebook page, and the once sweet woman whom she had try to win me over through several chats with, Crystal, deleted and blocked me as well. I told her I would write a review and for her, to I guess do her "damage control", she said she would try and post it first. I'm assuming she's going to post it to her secret society of friends on her facebook page, that believes every word she says, like she did when I mentioned to her the lady who called her out for giving her a dog with neurological defeciences.
Anywho, if you are reading this and considering getting a dane from her PLEASE DONT DO IT. Dont ignore the signs. Usually I would say those reviews are the people who are just bitter but when you read more than a couple of honest reviews please take the person's word for it like I also failed to do. Trust me. I'm just glad I was able to get my deposit back before it was too late and she tried to steal it from me. Thank Jesus. And if any breeder every tells you THEY'VE NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES WITH THEIR DOGS they are most certainly not trustworthy and just looking to get your money.

Anyone who is a succesful entreprenuer understands the importance of treating everyone with kindness and respect, something you dont seem to exemplify too well. But since you felt the need to show the internet who you truly are by using words such as "t**s" and statements like "sucking the government dry", I'll continue my thoughts.
I recieved A FREE EDUCATION through hard work and integrity. Regardless of the "number of times I sat on the bench" I was still able to receive a Bachelor's AND Master's degree for FREE, while you continue to breed dogs that clearly arent healthy, happy, or in decent living conditions. You blame your house looking filthy on "not wanting to purchse new things for the dog to chew up" but I think otherwise.
If you consider "sucking the government" to be recieving a free education through the hardwork and dedication of perfecting a craft that few people get to do, then sure go ahead madam, call it what you want. Maybe you should have "sucked" the judges during your showings for your Danes, and you would've been able to continue to show them.
And for your informtation, I have a very sucessful business that I run, and have no need to "steal" your pups. And upon further research, your pups dont look anything like a dane should look. Typical danes ARE NOT FAT or have chunky faces and builds. Call it what you want but you claim to be. Crystal is a very kind lady regardless of how you try to word the interaction that I had with her and if she doesn't think of me the same based on your story telling you may have had with her, it still doesn't change my opinion about her. You are NOT a good business woman and do NOT have morals or ethics. You never once asked what kind of home the dogs would be going to. STOP DEFLECTING AND START ACCEPTING THE TRUTH! This has nothing to do with trying to "steal a puppy" from you lady. Maybe go to school and take a few entreprenuership classes before trying to conduct business with people in the manner that you choose to do so.

It's amazing how long winded one can get when they are caught trying to steal such as this boy. He has never seen our dogs and my "secret society" is nothing but a closed forum on Facebook of some 600 or more people who either know us or have our dogs. If you have been breeding as long as we have you are going to meet some nuts. He paid a non refundable deposit via PayPal and tried to pay the entire amount which we don't allow as he was planning on picking up his puppy then filing a lie with them and get all the money refunded and have a free dog. This boy has a sense of entitlement because he and his entire family has been sucking the government tit for generations. Him bragging about his accomplishments are a pitiful cry to rise above when in reality he warmed a bench for 11 games. Enough said. He was made feel welcome by our group and personally taken under the wing of one of our members who did glean that in the long run this was a good thing because you need to be smarter than the dog.
