On 5/2/13 I had trouble accessing my gmail.com account.  I clicked on some google assist to help and got what turned out to be Live Technician.  The person was based in India.  He told me I had suspicious spyware, cookies etc. on my computer and was open to hacking.  I was duped into buying a security 3 package system which including Live Anti Spyware, Live Anti Hi-jack and Clearomizer.  They went into my computer while I was on line to show me all these "questionable items" on my pc and again used that to dupe me into buying this package which cost $289.99.  They tied up my pc for a few hours on 5/2/13, then called me to say all was set up.  They had deleted all the "bad things" and with the new programs installed I had access to a live technican for 3 years.

About a week ago I got a call at 7:40pm pdt from the same technican who was now trying to sell me another security system called Defender.  He claimed my microsoft license had expired and with it Defender.  I told him I already had the other 3 part package they sold me (cited above) plus my own security program.  He kept pressuring me to buy this for a cost of $200 up to $300 based on how many years protection I wanted.  He gave me his technician ID # as IJ97852.  I told him (already knew I was being had) that I wanted to research it and that's when I got his ID # but he wouldn't give me his phone #.  He hung up.

On 7/6/13 at 10:30am PDT I got another unsolicited call from Live Technician.  I told them I didn't want to talk to them and hung up.  They are very aggressive in selling their products plus they go into your computer and "attempt to show you all these suspicious things that are on your computer and threaten your security".

I called my credit card company after the first unsolicited call seeing if I could get a refund on the $289.99 charge for the security system Live Technician had installed.  My credit card company said since I had authorized it there wasn't much they could do.

Now after a 2nd unsolicited call from Live Technician, I feel I am being harrassed and have question if my computer is safe as they apparently can access from their facility wherever that is.

I would like to take the uninstall the 3 programs they installed on my pc and can do that but would like to get my $289.99 back.  They are aggressive, misleading, invasive and suspicious.

I call a call from Live Technician 7/7 after filing the rip off report against them.  They are willing to give me a full refund of $289.99 once I get a Confirmation # from Ripoff that the report I filed has been removed.  I told them that if I do not receive the full refund to be credited to my checking account I will refile the same report with further dialogue.  Can you send me a confirmation # showing my ripoff report dated 7/6/13 has been removed for now.

Thank you.
