On 12/2/16 my friend got locked out of my house.  I was at work and could not get home.  It was cold outside & she was wearing no shoes & no coat.  I did a search online for a mobile locksmith in Van Nuys and found this loser company.

The guy said he could be there in 15 minutes and I said fine but call me with pricing.  I never heard from him til about an hour later when my friend told me the guy told her I needed a new lock and she let him do it but he NEVER told her how much it was going to cost.  When all was said and done he charged $711.00 for a lock that looks like it cost $5.00 and I could of bought at Home Depot.  I contacted this company several times and they are very rude and hang up on you all the time.  I asked for their mailing address and they said oh we are located in Dallas, TX and I said then why do you have an 818 area code number and again they hung up on me.  When I first called to compalin about hte price I was basically told too bad that's how much it cost.  I did file a complaint with the BBB but they had no success contacting htis place.  I hope someone can help, I would like to get at least half or more of my money back and stop them from ripping off the next person.

Yes this sucks!! But there is SOME protection here. The person YOU had waiting there IS NOT YOU!!! THEY did a modification WITHOUT CONTACTING THE OWNER OR RENTER!!!! This means its a non approved issue. ANY lawyer will tell you to take them to court.

This is a very well-known, long-running scam.  You can read about it at the FTC.gov website. Essentially you called a boiler room somewhere in the country.  The boiler room has contacts (they are thugs) everywhere to run this locksmith scam. File a complaint with the FTC and your state's attorney general. Please read all about this scam. It is one of the services where a local legitimate locksmith is truly better. I hope you are able to track them down, but it is unlikely.
