Lodging.com Ripoff unreliable unresponsive Internet

I reserved a hotel in Florence, Italy through lodging.com. After a long flight and trek to the hotel, I was told that they no longer do business with lodging.com and had requested my contact info from lodging.com to notify me.

This hotel had kindly booked for me in another nearby very nice hotel at the same rate-I think it was actually a more expensive place, but they were quite helpful. Lodging.com had refused to give them contact info and had not notified me themselves.

Lodging.com had emailed me a confirmation and Bon Voyage message not 24 hours prior to this fiasco. They have not responded to two emails. No apolgy. And I have suggested that they should not receive any payment from this transaction.

I do not want any retribution. However, I would like to warn others about this outfit.
