I worked at LogicLink for about 3 months. When I was hired, like everyone else, I was promised one job, but shifted off to another. I have a Bachelors in Computer Science, so I interviewed for a field tech position. I did get to go onsite a few times, only to have to fix fat Teds screw ups because hes lazy.

LogicLink sells and maintains hotel business centers. They seem cool, but they suck. They have machines out there that are still running Windows 95 and 98. They wont upgrade any equiptment or be proactive until a hotel threatens to kick them out. Even then, the deals are very hollow and just to get them to stay in the hotel and rake in the money. The machines hardly work, and people are always calling the customer service department. Some of our shady reps are suppose to give refunds, but that is discouraged so that 'revenue' is kept high.

In any case, i digress.

I managed to screw up a local property that wasnt my fault, but the owners wife, Amy, still blamed me for it and said it was basically my fault. The equiptment was staged for me, and I wasnt trained for what she wanted. By the way, she has mood swings and is a little nuts.

Anyway, so I pretty much avoided going out onsite. I ended up going in at work at 5am. It was okay, I managed to avoid Kim and Amy, the owner and his wife.

Pretty much, I couldnt afford to work there. The pay was 12.00 an hour. It was so bad, I couldnt pay my car insurance. I asked for a raise, but basically told I wasnt worth the money. I eventually went to Amy and demanded a raise, or I would quit. I ended up not comming into work the next day, and now have a job that is closer to home and pays a little better.

Problem is that LogicLink treats its employees like s**. They are abused and used until they cant take it anymore. I dont know anyone there that isnt looking for work somewhere else to get away from this nightmare. It is not a good work environment. Aside from the fact that they dont pay people thier worth.

They promised bonuses on July 29. We were suppose to go to Nevada for a weekend paid by the company. Well, Kim and Amy came back from their expensive European vacation, and quickly but a halt to any kind of bonus or appriciation to thier employees. People were pissed, especcially those who had to rearrange thier lives to be able to attend.

Kim is another whacko. He thinks hes so brilliant because he went to MIT. Who cares!? Just because you went to MIT doesnt make you the smartest person on the planet. He has his head so far up his a** its pathetic. He likes to sneak into a back room and sit near the customer service room and watch what the CSRs are doing. When hes not around, stuff gets done, and people feel free to communicate like a TEAM and get things done. When he is in there, he is just so oppressive like some Communist dictator. Just because you are Chinese, doesnt make you Mao. And God forbid if someone asks a question about something that is obscure, and he hears. His answer to everything is to look in the Public Folders. The Public Folders are for sh**! There is nothing in there except for his instructions on how to do something, which is useless since we have come up with easier ways. He thinks hes so brilliant, but hes an idiot.

People that work there are great people with great skills. Those are often ignored, and only called on when it might make Kim look good.

They dont care about the employees, they consider that just a pet they can kick around. They wonder why they have a high turnover, but its no wonder.

Now I hear stuff about how terrible things are going to be because of thier paranoia. I hope its all illegal, and I hope they are shut down so they cant abuse any other employees.

They will probably get flak for this, but they dont understand the concept of FREEDOM OF SPEECH. What do I care, I dont work there anymore, and hopefully this will help them.

My advice to Kim and Amy: get familiar with the Labor Laws. Your going to screw with the wrong person who doenst like getting kicked around.
