Well I'm not a previous employee, owner, or anyone affiliated with these companies. I'm just a job hunter that is looking for something more solid than part time minimum wage. So while on careerbuilder.com, I noticed a lot of jobs that were posted under a few company names that had listings in categories they didn't belong in. I thought they were just trying to get exposure, so I applied.

These two- Momentum Inc. and Logistics Advertising- caught my attention because they both emailed me about jobs, they had different contact names and addresses, and yet are at the exact same address. Here are the emails that I received from both of them:

Not only are they the same exact addresses and phone numbers, note the times they were sent! Now it's understandable that there could be employers out there that are that prompt about a job application that was just literally put in, but two emails from two different people from two different company names at the same address within 21 minutes of each other? Well that gives me pause. And anyone else that uses their brain regularly.

Of course sales positions never pay out the way they say, especially when you're first starting. But there is a line to be drawn. If you go to an interview for a job where the interviewer won't specify job duties and pay, or where they want to "train" and "evaluate" you for a week without pay, commission only, so that they can see if you're going to get the job, you are definitely being used for your manpower.

Do yourselves a favor, and research your jobs! If this company is legitimate, they sure do have some strange practices! (Professionalism excluded.)

Because of Rikka's comments I did further research on my own. There is a legitimate company out there called Momentum Worldwide but I find no connection with this company called "Momentum, Inc". There is another company, Endeavor Marketing also at this address in Rancho Cordova. This company has extensive complaints on Ripoff Report, and a Denver TV station did an expose on their fund raising activities.

The location the office is located in is an area mostly occupied by contractors and other small businesses doing technical type repairs and office supplies. Not where you would expect a professional marketing company to be located. Plus the office is too small to house all of the people they are advertising for.

There have been many companies over the years taking advantage of young people looking for summer work or the unemployed who are getting desperate, and no one seems to be able to put a stop to them.
