March 2014 i purchased a brand new g700s gaming mouse from ebay from a Shop seller with 87000 feedback, supossed to have a 3 year warranty. The mouse is now faulty scroll wheel is stuck and keeps losing signal. logitech keep asking for vat receipt but seller is no longer active on ebay and not replying to my emails. I provided ebay receipt and paypal receipt but still customer support are being very awkward and keep asking for vat receipt and say they wont honor warranty without it. i feel like i have been scammed by logitech. Its obvious from the price on the receipt i have bought a brand new mouse from a shop seller on ebay. I have bought hundreds of pounds of logitech products from ebay and now realise that logitech wont honour warranty. I have 5.1 speakers from logitech and a mouse, a very expensive keyboard and g933 headset all bought new from ebay. seller is no longer active on ebay and wont reply to me. I am shocked that a multi million pound operation like logitech are making petty excuses to get out of honouring warranty. i will warn all my friends never to buy logitech and will post about my experience on as many review sites i can find. Logitech Case number 04527666.

I have supplied them with a receipt from ebay and a receipt from paypal the seller has 90000 feedback on his ebay shop and is no longer active. all my logitech purchases were made from ebay. its not a stolen item! and its not a private seller its a big company i bought it from, but unfortunately no longer active on ebay. its just a petty excuse by logitech to get out of warranty claims. when you buy from ebay you dont get a vat receipt just a proof of order.

look here on logitechs website it says

What is a valid proof of purchase? Valid Proofs of Purchase are: A valid order number from the Logitech.com website A dated sales receipt from an authorized Logitech Dealer or Reseller that shows a description of the product along with its price

Let’s look at your quote from Logitech’s website: What is a valid proof of purchase? Valid Proofs of Purchase are: A valid order number from the Logitech.com website A dated sales receipt from an authorized Logitech Dealer or Reseller…

You did not provide a receipt from an authorized reseller.

“in the description it said New and further down the page it said 3 years warranty”

The seller made that claim but that doesn’t make it true. If I sell a Ford and claim it’s under warranty that doesn’t obligate Ford to honor that claim.

You may want to educate yourself by reading about gray market goods. Gray marketing is the selling or trade of goods through channels not intended by the product manufacturer. The seller (not the manufacturer) is responsible to honor the terms of the warranty.

i have provided proof of purchase from a limitied company, i have provided an ebay invoice and a paypal invoice.

payment was made to a limited company through paypal i have provided the evidence to logitech scammers.

plenty of people purchase new items on ebay and the good manufacturers have the decency to honor warranty except logitech who act like scammers.

many people purchased the same mnouse from the same seller. in the description it said New and further down the page it said 3 years warranty.

just like scammers they provide a lame excuse to avoid replacing faulty goods.

you would think a company of this size would have some decency but obviously not.

The issue is that even though YOU purchased the item on Ebay, it doesnt make the seller an actual autherized reseller. YOU cannot expect that there is STILL a warrenty as the person on Ebay is the ORIGINAL BUYER!!! THEY have the warrenty. Im sure YOU think its "unfair" and "not right" but YOU are a victim of the choices YOU made. Instead of buying from a retailer or directly from logitech, YOU CHOSE to go on Ebay. Which amounts to a YARD SALE ONLINE!! YOU CHOSE cheap and YOU CHOSE Ebay. Logitech is under ZERO obligation to do ANYTHING for you since YOU CANNOT PROVIDE A PROOF OF PURCHASE!!!
