Complaint Review: Lone Tree Olde English Bulldogges

I bought my bulldogge, Misty, from these people three years ago.  When I got her, she appeared healthy, and I signed a contract.  Unfortunately I didn't read the contract very well. Within six months, I had already spent $1200 at the vet trying to fix a problem the vet said was the breeders.  The vet said the type of mange that Misty had was inherited.  When I told Amy and Ivan about it, they said it wasn't their problem and that they didn't cover mange in their guarantee.  I was appalled especially since the vet said that it was inherited from the parent dog that the breeders used. She said dogs with this kind of mange are a result of poor breeding. I got a second opinion because this was costing so much money and Misty was miserable.  The second vet said the same thing...that it was the breeder's responsibility. 

Now, almost three years later we just had Misty put to sleep.  We fought for over two years to get the mange under control, and finally did, but it cost thousands of dollars. Unfortunately, Mistys hips were so bad with hip dysplasia that she was in constant pain and could hardly get up.  We felt so bad, but after spending so much money on the mange and seeing her so miserable for so long, we finally just had to let our sweet Misty go.  When I told Amy and Ivan about this, their response was "hips are only guananteed to age two."  I am hoping that this helps people look elsewhere for their dog.
