In late 1997, I financed a vehicle with LBAC, with a car company that closed down soon after. I never received the tags, title, or registration, and was told by a phone message by the car company that I would be receiving them in the mail. Never came.

LBAC, Paramus, called me a month later and wondered where my money was. I asked them, where are my plates? They said they didn't know, but would work on getting them. They even sent me a letter stating that they would suspend payments and finance charges until they got the paperwork. Fast forward a year later, and they still never sent my documents. Because of my financial situation at the time, I was forced to drive the truck with EXPIRED TAGS. I was pulled over and the truck was impounded, because I couldn't prove ownership, BECAUSE I HAD NO TAGS. Vicious circle, isn't it?

Anyway, 5 years later, I still haven't heard anything about the truck or the documents, and now my credit report is stating my LBAC loan as a write-off loan, totally messing up my credit rating. That's ALL I need fixed. I don't care about the legal consequences of my uninsured driving, I want them to clear my credit report of their name. Heck, just change the "write-off loan" description to something that won't hurt my credit rating.
