Loren Christopher/ Ekko Marketing Deceptive advertising practices Dallas Texas
I was contacted on 1/27/08 by Loren Christopher/EkkoMarketing to place an ad in a Keller/Williams relocation brochure. I was asked to provide three samples to the marketing company from which the design department would 'create a beautiful' ad. After emailing a sample of my business card, the first page of my website and my brochure, I was notified on 2/18/08 that the pdf of my ad was available for my approval. I immediately DECLINED the pdf and refused to run the ad. I was charged $695.00 and for old with a computer could have produced my business card with two logos and not charged me $695.00!!!! I requested my money be returned to me as I was NOT inclined to run an ad under the circumstances. Thus far, Loren Christopher/Ekko Marketing have refused to refund my money. I have refused to let them publish my ad. I was promised a 'beautiful ad' and I got zero for $695.00!!!!

EKKO Marketing made several attempts to Suzanne to make it right!!!

EKKO Marketing contacted Suzanne to advertise in the Keller Williams Presentation Folders as the exclusive homestager. Suzanne was thrilled to be invited to advertise in this exclusive publication. We collected the non-refundable ad cost of $695 to advertise in the Presentation Folders, and informed Suzanne that our graphics designer would be in touch with her within 2 days to begin the designing of her ad. (We can not allow refunds because we pay our designers up front to design these ads once we get a commitment from the advertisers)
After Loren Christopher designed the ad for Suzanne she was not happy at all (Loren Christopher used the artwork provided by Suzanne to design her ad) they did not design anything from scratch because most of our advertisers want to stay with the same design style they use in other advertisements. After Suzanne saw the ad she demanded her money back. I called Suzanne immediately to make it right. I told her we have 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed on all design work, we will redo the ad as many times as it takes until the advertiser is completely satisfied no questions asked!!! She still demanded her money back. I told Suzanne that we paid Loren Christopher $300 to design the ad so refunding the $695 is against our company policy, but to make it right I told her if she is adamant about it then we will refund all but the $300 we were out on the ad (this did not satisfy Suzanne). She wanted a full $695 refund (keep in mind we have worked with over 200 advertisers and this is the 1 and only complaint we have had on Loren Christopher Design). After several attempts top reach Suzanne to get her c/c information so we could refund the full $695 we could not reach her. I had 100% intention and commitment to make it right for Suzanne but she is totally impossible to deal with!!! I got a call from my merchant company stating Suzanne was disputing the charges and I told them to refund her the full $695. Again...I made several attempts to reach Suzanne to do this myself but she was not hearing it.
So that's the real story....we have 1 person out of the hundreds we have worked with over the years upset. In business we all know this is inevitable, you just have to do your best to satisfy the unsatisfied, and always take the high road.
As for Loren Christopher....We are a marketing company and we have worked with dozens of graphics designers, and Loren Christopher is far better than anyone we have ever worked with. They are the most caring, efficient, and professional design firm out there I guarantee it!!! All of our advertisers absolutely love working with them and they do wonders when it comes to designing an amazing advertisement. We are blessed that we get to work with such an amazing design firm!!!
Feel free to contact me directly with any questions or comments....

I was also ripped off in almost the exact same way. I've got an attorney who is handling my case, because the principle of the matter is for more important than the money involved.
