Los Osos Car Wash, in Alta Loma CA was paid to do a "Full Service" wash to my Mazda Speed 3. I clearly entered the car wash with a bike rack on the roof of my car. The attendant wrote me a ticket for the wash and sent me towards the cashier. I paid for the carwash.
The car came out of the tunnel without the roof rack. At first I didn't think it was my car. Then another attendant, Javier Medina, was carrying my rack out behind the car. There was clearly damage to the roof of the car. He said nothing, and went to talk to another Supervisor. The Supervisor, Marc Andrade, was frantically talking to Mr. Medina, while also clearly staying away from me.
Later he came to me and nervously told me that they would not be liable for the damages because "they told me ahead of time that I shouldn't go through." LIE. He then said that his supervisor, the ticket writer (yeah right) had told me this. I immediately walked over to the ticket writer and asked him what he said. He nervously told me that he had told me not to go through with the roof rack while looking at the other guy. LIE. I was furious.
I then asked for the manager. Marc said he was the manager. I asked for the owner. He said he "didn't know the owner's name." LIE. I was given a card and sent away.
They never told me to NOT go through the car wash, and if they really had said that, I am certain they wouldn't have even allowed me to use their service. AND if they had told me that, I myself wouldn't have used their service. I would have gone home and removed the rack before going back. Basically they claim that I forced them to wash my car.
