I purchased a Wardrobe closet that was packed in two boxes that each had a dead weight of about 100 lbs each. The store doesn't have a loading dock or parking lot so I had to pull up and double park to retrieve the two behemoths. The guy that sold them to me lingered around my car expecting me to tip him when all that he did was help me carry them to my car 20-30 feet away. Getting them up to my apartment was another story requiring balancing them on a hand truck one at a time. I live in a studio apartment so basically I had to rearrange the entire furnishings of my apartment to make space to assemble the cabinet. When I opened up box 1 I discovered that there were no assembly instructions in the box, opened up box number 2 same result. I called the store that is about a mile away the  problem is that where I live the parking conditions are equally as horrendous as the parking by the Store on Queens Blvd and I had already scored a parking space around the corner from my building. I called the store and after several transfers was connected to the Furniture Dept Manager, Kumar, don't know if that is his real name. He instructed me to return to the store with my receipt and they would provide me with a copy of the assembly instructions. I asked him what time they closed he said 8:00PM I arrived at the store at around 7:45 and was directed downstairs by the security guard  to the manager. I was directed to the cash register where Kumar (an Indian guy with a major Napoleon Complex) who grudgingly asked me if he could help me. I explained that I had purchased a W-448 closet and that I was missing the assembly instructions. He asked me for the receipt which I explained I could not locate due to the disarray in the aforementioned apartment. He said " Give me your address I will send it to you in a few days" I explained the conditions under which I found myself and told him that a few days was unacceptable. I could not have this monstrosity sitting in the middle of my apartment for a "few days" (did this mean 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, days 1 week 2 weeks)? At which point he said if I didn't have my receipt he could not do anything for me. I advised him that if he did not provide me with the instructions then he would force me to dispute the charge with the CC company. He waved his hand at me and said yes go ahead do that. So, Needless to say I will be disputing the charge and insist that they come and pick up there mdse as I am not going to trouble myself to take it back. So now I have a 200 lb puzzle in the middle of my apartment, Someone here asked what;s in a name?Iin this case a lot less value, a lot less customer service, and a great many headaches. Someone once said you get what you pay for, so bear this in mind when shopping at this establishment. Customers are treated contemptibly and in my case I have been ripped off for $200. I can only imagine what you will be put through if you wanted to return something to these idiots. Do yourself a favor and try to save money somewhere else as it is not worth the grief of dealing with these fools.

It's obvious you work for the company so why not just identify yourself thus. You should train your employees in customer service my point in describing the situation is to demonstrate the grief that I went through in doing business with your company. I will tell anyone that will listen what to expect in dealing with this company.

Quite a bit of your report is how bad the parking is at this store and your apartment.  Then another major complaint is on how hard it was to get the boxes upstairs and how you had to rearrange your studio apartment to get ready to assemble it.  Seems like your real reports should by on your city and your landlord.

Of course you then also want to call it a RipOff when you couldn't even keep track of your receipt for a couple of hours.  Where when they say it will be a couple of days the first thing you threaten them with you attempting a ChargeBack.

Well here is probably what will happen.  If you give your CC company this story one of a few things will happen.  They may laugh at you for 5-10 minutes before they tell you that your dispute isn't valid.  They may just take your information and give you a temporary credit, but once they talk to the Store they will reverse that credit and close your dispute.  They will take your information, give you a temporary credit and when they talk to the store, the store will send you the instructions and they will reverse the credit.

By the way you appear to know how to use the Internet since you posted this report, have you tried searching for the instructions yourself?
