Lou Bachrodt chevrolet submitted a false inflated repair estimate Rockford, Illinois
Took our '03 VW diesel wagon in after a road breakdown. Repair estimate was $7000.00 for; timing belt, water pump, cylinder headinjector pump. Repair man offered to buy the vehicle from me for $1000.00 after I told them not to go ahead with any work. Towed the vehicle to another shop who fixed it for $1200. Stay away from bachrodt in rockford.

The service dept. manager at Lou Bachrodt was informed of the situation, the estimate, technicians offer to purchase and the complete repair cost by another shop. Dept. manager was unaware of the offer to purchase my wife's car and assured me the technician was acting on his own and in violation of Bachrodt policy. Immediate and appropriate action was taken towards the technician, full restitution plus a bonus was offered and accepted. The matter has been resolved to my complete satisfaction.
