I was recieved call at my work from LBN on March 13 2008(first contact from them) for the debt I do not believe I owe. I sent a certified letter March 17 demanding proof , dates, ownership , etc... On March 31 I recieved summons to answer plea in 35days. I am going to wait 25days then file an extensin that well give me 20more days. By then the 30day notice I gave them well be up and I will plea I do not have enough proof that the debt is valid. I purchased a lease in 2000 for 4yrs I paid every payment (48pymts) at the end of the lease I returned car at the local dealer. So they got 4 years of payments recieved the car back to sell for $10,700 and now state I went over the miles and that's why I am being sude. I am also not sure why they filed a civil sude against me when they claim my balance is $2800. Date of last payment was 2005 so Iam not out of the statute of limitations yet.
Ive read up alot on this company. I will show up for court and I will fight. Keep ya posted.

I had already contacted them . GMAC did a charge off on the account and said they no longer have anything turned it over to a collection (not lbn but they get sold everyday) and not to contact them.

Check with your original creditor and see how much you owed.

That would be some good evidence you could show the Court to demonstrate LLB&N is charging an exhorbitant amount.
B&N are rotten bottom feeding scum, so I wouldn't trust those losers. The scum is hoping you won't show because not showing is you're way of saying you owe it, so definitely fight them and give them hell.
