Love, Beal & Nixon Making me nuts Ripoff Oklahoma City Oklahoma
Sent a VOD letter to this company in Nov. 2005. I received their reply today--one year and 5 months later. They have "validated" a debt that was paid in 2001 to another bottom-feeder debt collector (I was too ignorant of the law back then). Not only that, but the SOL has expired, since the last activity on the debt was either 2001 or 1999, depending upon whether or not the original collection agency (New Vision Financial) reported it as activity on my credit report. I have checked my credit report in the last year and NOTHING regarding this debt shows up!
Love, Beal and Nixon are making threatening noises about suit. Does anyone know of a lawyer who has dealt with these people? I want them off my back.
