Complaint Review: Low Country Van Lines

Low Country Van Lines unresponsive, unprofessional and I still dont have my things! Dania Beach, Florida

First off I was cold called by quality movers who assured me that if my things were picked up on 9/27/11 I would have my stuff between 10/1/11 and 10/4/11. Everything was good. Come 9/27/11 movers show up in a rented truck... okay whatever. They upcharge me an extra hundred dollars, but that was to be expected. After they load all my stuff on the truck they give me the paperwork and it says LOW COUNTRY on the top.

Quality movers never told me they were sub-contracting out my job. But all my stuff was already loaded so I went with it. 10/4/11 rolls around I still dont have my stuff. I call and usually get no response. When I do get someone to pick up. they tell me they cant give me an exact date of when my things will be delivered, or that they will call me back. They never call back. 

Last week they told me it was on the way and gave me a drivers phone number. I called the driver who reported to me that he did not have my things. Ive called over 20 times since the weekend and finally got someone to pick up (after having to write an e-mail threatening to sue and to contact the media) who claims my stuff will be loaded tomorrow and should be here soon. After this nightmare I am fearful of what condition my things will be in. I will be sure to update. Do not use these people and be sure whoever you contract with is not going to subcontract you out to random fraudulent moving companies.
