Purchased several boxes of floor tiles from Lowe's. Half way through the first box I noticed that the arrows for installing changed by 9o degrees. I had to pull up several tiles to fix the problem. These arrows indicate the direction of both the texture and the pattern of the tile so they appear to be one solid pattern. By the second box the arrows were not only changing throughout the box but now the texture was 90 degrees off from the pattern.

Now I had to physically verify each and every tile to try to match up the design as best as could be done. The floor took several hours to complete that should hav only taken about an hour. There are mismatched patterns that we had to cover with rugs. The tiles are too difficult to remove otherwise I would have taken them all up and returned them. Instead I wrote to Armstrong about the problem and they told me to go back to Lowe's and they had people who would handle this problem. We went back to Lowe's and waited an hour to speak to someone about it. Jay took down the information and told us that Anthony would call us and make arrangements to rectify the problem. That was over a month ago and no one has called. They don't care and continue to sell this faulty material.

Were these the peel and stick vinyl tiles?? If so, there is an in-store refund policy. The policy states that if you purchase these tiles, and have problems with them, you can return them and get new boxes. Armstrong generally fixes the problem, as long as it is within the guarantee.

Sounds like you dealt with some people who don't know the policy.

The Armstrong representative refunded the full amout that I spent on the floor tiles and gave me three more boxes (opened and with some missing) to "complete the job". Well the floor still looks bad and other people will by this tile and have the same problems.
