We bought this KitchenAid Dishwasher (KUDC10FXSS2) from Lowes after the salesperson gave us a high rating for this item, stating that they had one in their home as well.

I installed it and after installing it, it didn't really clean well.  After first two months, it developed a leak, but I attributed it to a leaky seal due to food particles getting lodged between the seal and the door.  This problem continued here and there, becoming more often as time went on.

After 1 year, it leaks terribly and reported it to Lowes.  They said because it was over one year and I didn't purchase an extended warranty, there was nothing I could do.

I looked up the reviews on this product and it appears this problem is common with this model.  Obviously a manufacturer's defect.  But, nobody will do anything about it.

I've had other problems with Lowe's as well.  Bought new kitchen cabinets and reported one cabinet was defective in construction.  They told me they have their cabinets constructed to order and this style of cabinet is no longer made so they won't fix it.

Same cabinet job, they hired a subcontractor to cut and install the granite countertop.  The hole for the sink was cut so big the sink almost fell through...not enough granite material to use the clamps on the sink to hold the sink in place.  They told me to glue it in.  Best they could do.
