This is the third time I have had this experience at the Lowes Foods store in Wake Forest. Yesterday I purchased three pounds of salmon fillet from the so-called "fresh" seafood counter. The seafood associate on duty assured me that this was indeed "fresh" seafood that was put out just that morning. He proceeded to wrap the salmon fillet in paper wrap, I purchased it, and was on my way.

Later that evening as my wife was preparing to cook for our dinner party, she opened the neatly wrapped salmon fillet only to be greated by the foulest, nastiest smell imaginable. Not only was the salmon past its expiration, it was downright rotten and spoiled beyond belief! The smell was so horrible we had no choice than to triple-bag it and dispose of it in the backyard trash bin.

What Lowes Foods does is criminal! They have done this three times to me already, I wonder how many others have been treated in such a manner! They charge between $6.99 and $7.99 a pound for salmon fillet, knowing that it is rotten, and that no customer in their right mind will return it because doing so would cause their car to stink that rotten fish stench! Telling the store about this does no good -- they do absolutely nothing, and then continue selling rotten fish, stealing customers' hard-earned money, laughing in the face of the bourgeoisie! I will never shop in that disgusting store ever again, and I will go out of my way to inform everyone of their criminal practices! Stores like that should be condemned!!! From now on I will go out of my way to shop at Harris Teeter for ALL of my grocery needs! Bye bye Lowes Foods, whose rotten fish is obviously indicative of their character and business ethic!
