Lowes Home Improvement rebate fraud Abilene Texas
I sent off for a rebate on October 10, 2003. After 8 weeks I contacted the rebate center by phone and was told they never received my rebate.
I then faxed a copy of the receipt to Lowes Rebate Center. I waited 4 weeks called them and they said they never received the fax. I faxed them probably 20 more times and called as just as many times to hear over and over they never received the fax.
I have contacted the Better Business Bureau, but I am ready to give up as I have spent way too much on this.
The lesson to be learned here is not to fall for Lowe's "rebates".

I've had several experiences with rebates offered by lowes, and have found them reputable but prone to mistakes. One area I've found to cause confusion is that some rebates are from lowes and are handled though their corporate office, and others are offered though the companies the make the product. I would suggest contacting management at the store. Those guys know the ropes of the company better then we do, and can usually get things done a little faster.
