Lowes ripped off, lied to & cheated on kitchen cabinets Battle Creek Michigan

A couple years ago, we bought Lowes kitchen cabinets. In Dec. 2006, we enlarged our kitchen & decided to add more cabinets. Lowes sent their cabinet man here, to measure.
First we got a couple wrong sized cabinets. For weeks we argued with Lowes trying to make them understand we cannot make 56 " worth of cabinets fit into a 48 " area.

Then the pantrys came with no shelves. Lowes tried everything from telling me the pantrys do not come with shelving, even though the package with the shelving clips were inside the pantrys. I finally called the manufactorer myself & got the shelves within 3 days.

Then when all the cabinets were finally delieved, another issue, we discovered we had 3 different colored cabinets, a wheat oak, a oak honey & a Roble oak. Although Lowes tries to tell us Roble means Oak in spanish, the cabinets are still 2 different colors !!

Then we discover the cabinets are in different sizes. some are 34 1/2 " & others are 35 ". First we're told to shim the smaller ones. We explain this cannot be done as the doors will not match up, not to mention, we still have 3 different colors. Plus, the cabinets have 3 different toe kicks. Some are oak, some are black & others are raw wood !!

My X sister in law happened to be at Lowes to order cabinets on Monday, 4/23/07, when the manager comes & tells the cabinet guy he has to come to " the problem house ", the he'd drawn the short straw. The cabinet guy says, no way, I didn't make this mess. The manager tells him as " the problem customers " are so upset with the first Lowes cabinet guy for messing things up so badly, " the problem customers ", do not want him back at their home, so now this guy has to try to come out & fix things. The cabinet guy asks the manager what the address is again & my X sister in law is shocked when the manager gives my address !!

Also while my X sister in law is sitting there, another woman came in complaining she'd ordered cabinets in spice & now has 2 different colored cabinets & wants this taken care of. And, before my X sister in law leaves, another man came in telling this cabinet guy he'd brought back a truck load of cabinets for the same problem & he was done dealing with Lowes, he just wants his money back & he'll go else where.

Now all Lowes will do for us, is to offer to have us jerk all our old cabinets out & order all new cabinets, in the color we do NOT want. Other than that, it's our problem. I have contacted Lowes corporate head quarters numerous times now & although their very sweet on the phone, nothing is being done to solve this problem.

... it may help to NOT blacklist the Lowes employee in the manner in which you have. First, why should someone else be responsible for fixing this guy's mistakes without you first giving him the opportunity to do so himself? Second, seeing as how your actions have delineated yourself as a "problem customer," why would anyone else want to set foot in your house to tackle these issues?

If you want to resolve such problems, you must give them a reasonable opportunity to do so, without all the drama. The more hoops you give them to jump through, the longer it will take for you to find a resolution, if at all.

Rebuttal to my Lowes rebuttal

I never said no one from Lowes was allowed back at my home. I only said that the employee who I'd had all the problems with was not welcomed to return.
As Lowes has many employees & as I've already had so many problems with this person, then obviously it would be in Lowes & my best interest to have a different person, preferably a district manager, come in to investigate this situation.

Lowes can easily fix this problem in several ways.

To start with, Lowes has more than 1 person in their cabinet department who could come out to our home. I only said that the Lowes employee who gave me all the static was not welcomed, not that no one from Lowes was welcomed here to investigate.

How exactly is Lowe's supposed to fix your problem when you will not allow them back in your home to do so? You cannot cry "rip off" when you do not make a reasonable attempt to cooperate with the other party and allow them to make an effort to correct the situation.

It sounds like you've already burned your bridges in dealing with Lowe's. It is probably best to return all your cabinets and buy them elsewhere.
