Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman falsely testified against his boss, President Donald Trump. Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman lied. Here's Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman biggest gripe: How dare the president of the United States put pressure on the Ukraine president. Remember, Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman and President Zelinsky are both from the Ukraine, they both speak Russian.
Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman has more in common with the Ukraine president. Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman is certainly a Russian Asset. Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman was born in the former Soviet Union (think Stalin). There is no doubt that Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman would be watching Stalin's back and would turn on the United States president.

I wasn't going to respond, but people should know Vindman is an animal. He has been responsible in his role at the NSC to keep people at Project HALO from removing mines in former war-torn areas of the world - much of this behavior has benefitted countries like Russia and Turkey who have wanted wars between neighboring countries to continue despite negotiated peace treaties.
He is no hero - that is for certain. Men, women, and children are being killed by unremoved mines that Project HALO could have removed and I consider Vindman a murderer for every one killed by a mine.
On a more macro world level, there are many who also believe his primary role in the Trump escapade was not to reign Trump in and get him in trouble, but to alert the Russians someone could be looking into the whole Burisma operation. That whole circus benefits the Russians, since their oligarchs benefit from the corruption still going on there (and yes it's still going on there, but we like Ukraine, so.....). Vindman didn't like Trump either, so he helped nail orange guy as a by-product of alerting his friends the Russians.
If you want to consider this clown a hero, that's up to you. He's nothing more than a guy with the blood of a lot of people on his hands. His firing was just - however it's for a different reason than the media portrays...
