Complaint Review: Luby's

I visited Luby's cafe on Houston's Northwest freeway between Antoine Drive and 34th Street on Monday March 16th, 2015 to order food to go. I placed my order and waited in the lobby with my coworker. While waiting for my order, a customer came in to complain and demanded the manager come out. When the manager came out, he was rude and didn't seem concerned with the customer's complaints. I thought this was odd, but I still waited on my order despite my concern with the service. At point of sale, I signed a reciept for the amount of $11.64, which I copied on the line below the total line to prevent overcharges.

Two days later, I receive an alert on my phone that said Luby's charged me $30.27 for my meal, which if you have been to Luby's you know that is not correct for 1 lunch plate and a drink. I called the manager(Dave) from earlier, who displayed the same indifferent attitude with me as he did with the customer who physically came in to complain. I then escalated the issue to corporate on Thursday March 19th, 2015 who assured me that an investigation would insue and I would receive a call by Monday March 23rd, 2015. On March 23rd, I didn't receive a call so I called corporate to check the status of the investigation. The representative told me that the investigation was ongoing and I would get a call by days end.

At 4:00 on March 23rd I called back since I didn't receive a call, this time the representative told me I would get a call by today March 24th. Here it is March 24th and I have yet to receive a call. I work for every dollar I receive and have to manage spending carefully to maintain my expenses. I cannot afford to have $19.00 taken from me for food that I NEVER received. $11.64 is the normal price for 1 chicken fried steak with 2 sides and 1 drink without dessert, so why am I being charged an extra $19.00? Im not sure if thier employees or manager are using our debit cards to garnish tips without permisson, but if they are that is illegal and I want that Luby's prosecuted for thieft.
