Warning, do not buy from this person, avoid at all costs. Lucid-systems is the worst ebay seller I have ever had to deal with. How he got to be a powerseller? I have no idea.

I purchased a guide for reprogramming my motorola cable tv box, but this guide did nothing to help me at all. after spending 15$ on it, I contacted the seller who refused to help me claiming it was in my hands now.

This material is probably copyrighted by motorola, but this guy feels that he has the right to sell of other people's stuff. his business address is his home, which means that while you would think that your purchase was at least helping the economy, you are dead wrong since he probably doesnt even pay taxes on his fake business.

his auction site also shows he has a site laptats.com which is some way of taking more copyrighted material (in this case pictures) and trying to make money from other company's (and bands) copyrighted pictures.

With the recession at a peak, it seems clear to me that such individuals should be stopped from getting income without reporting it to the IRS.

This person had a hardware issue and was directed to out tech support email, I'm not 100% sure of the particular details, but they apparently had a hardware issue that prevented their box from being fixed. They wanted US to fix their box for them, unfortunately we don't rebuild units or stock parts required to get that particular box running. The company I work for, is in fact a business and we do work out of a store. We have a shipping department, we have a store front, and we have technicians. The owner, does infact pay taxes as well... we have recently started selling items on consignment and have customers all over the world.
Our ebay feedback is well over 1000 positives, alot stemming from the sales of these manual sets.
We do offer some material that we don't own the copyright to, these include additional courtesy manuals that are available on the internet, including User Guides, Data Sheets, etc... these are not the reset and reprogramming manuals, but are included as a reference and are not necessary to repair your box.
LapTats.com was an idea for a company that never got off of the ground, the website was a template for the idea and wasn't ever followed up on. The idea was to design the store and sell it to a music store or record company that did indeed own the copyrights to the images, as a turnkey website. However, the idea of laptop skins wasn't as popular as we would have liked and SkinIt.com came along and cornered the market. They offer great products and we actually work in conjunction with them to make our own laptop skins from time to time. We also owned the domain names iskinz.com. ipodtats.com, iphonetats.com, wiitats.com, as well as many others that never even made it to the design stage.
These websites and templates were never made public or advertised, and if you try to click a link to purchase any items from them, you will be redirected to one of our eBay stores.
We offer PC repair, Web Design, as well as build custom pc's and laptops. If you're ever in our area, please look us up!
We apologize that we were unable to help this particular person and I feel like our wires must have gotten crossed somewhere or they would have had a little more understanding of their problem. We get emails to our tech support everyday and we do our best to answer all of them.
Thank You,
James Reeder
