what is there to say in my report that others haven't stated already?

well for starters this company is also stationed in deerfield Florida

it all began 3 years ago when some telemarketer called our house telling me about a "once in a life time offer"

im not sure how they got my information but years ago I went through another magazine program they gave me good deals on bulk subscriptions at 49.99$ and that was for psm magazine pre-paid for quarter of a year.

thinking it was the same people for only 3.99 a month which would only be 47.88$ a year I would get 10 different magazines of my choice.

Man was I ever so wrong I woke up one morning to a letter siting on the dining room table.

I open the letter thinking its only my recipe for my payoff of 1 year to my 10 magazines but to my horror it was something more
it was 1000$ a year for 3-4 years on each magazine!

I quickly called the company responsible and said I want a immediate refund and cancellation of this transaction.

they refused to refund me and to cancel it out so I did what I had to do I called my credit card up had them dispute it and change my card number then I had them investigate this so called company and to get my refund.

then this place had the nerve to turn me into delmarva collection agencies

I talked to the agent and he was shocked about what I told him so he said theres nothing they cane do about it once they talk with me and I refused.

for about a year or so I didn't hear no more about it till one day this number called me 206-415-8508.

They said "I have to pay them 1000$" for magazines I didn't even receive

now really think about it, what right did these frauds think they have trying to weasel out money for something I didn't get in the first place.

not only do they harass you but I had them cuss me out threaten me with bodily harm and stated and I quote "if you don't pay we will forcefully take it from you"

if you ever see these numbers appear on your caller id don't pick up just goto donotcall.gov/default.aspx
and have them blocked.

Some of these magazine subscripton companies have been getting slammed by the FTC and AG's of some states (check your AG's website to see if anything is posted). If this company is a "collection agency", don't talk to them on the phone. Get everything in writing. Send them a cease & desist letter, certified mail, return receipt requested, advising them that it is inconvient for them to contact you on the telephone and that they are only to contact you in writing. Demand validation of the debt (that you owe it and that they have a right to collect it). Check with your state to see if they are supposed to be licensed and bonded. Good luck.

Casey...FYI..."Do Not Call" registry ONLY applies to TELEMARKETERS

The "Do Not Call" registry ONLY applies to TELEMARKETERS. These people are NOT telemarketers, they are a COLLECTION AGENCY.

Take Jennifer's advice and file an FTC complaint AND a police report. Go to the FTC website and get familiar with the FCRA and the FDCPA. These are federal laws that deal with credit reporting and debt collections.

Also, get a copy of your credit reports from all 3 bureaus, as I am sure you will have derogatory collections info on your reports.

This will all have to be disputed.

Report the bums to the FTC and report them for violations of the FDCPA. They are not allowed to call you at 11 pm, nor are they allowed to use threats of violence. Those are considered terroristic threats and should be reported to your local police, pronto! A clear cut case of fraud from the get go. You did the right thing in cancelling your card and getting a new account number. Go to www.budhibbs.com for a sample cease and desist. Get their threats on tape, or better yet ask the police to put a trace on your phone for recording purposes.
