Lufthansa Deutsche Lufthansa AG, Miles and More Lufthansa successfully sued in Germany for devaluating Miles, Pending criminal charges Cologne, Internet
Lufthansa has been successfully sued by frequent flier Tobias Eggendorfer in Germany for failing to communicate the devaluation of Miles earned in their frequent flier program "Miles and More" to their customers.
Mr. Eggendorfer also filed criminal charges for commercial fraud in 21 Million cases against Lufthansa after someone forwarded an internal message from LHs management to him. In this email LHs management directed their employees to keep the pending changes to their program secret so that customers would not be able to hurry to book flights under the old rules.
My recommendation: join the lawsuit, the chances to win are excellent and the attorney fees in Germany are reasonable. Lufthansa stole about 20% of your miles by increasing the price for award bookings. I guess that almost nobody heard about this here in America, spread your word.

I just saw that the address for Lufthansa is showing up incorrectly - it should be "Germany" and not "United States"
One of the attorneys who handles the Miles and More cases is Markus Klamert in Munich:

another one (the one who succeeded against Lufthansa) is Christian Stratmann in Essen:
