I've lived in numerous campgrounds and this one should be avoided at all costs. I never liked the terms of this man's annual lease and therefore NEVER signed it. No project started in this campground is ever completed, dangerous ditches dug all over the campground over a year ago are still open and inviting injury. Electrical wires are layed on the surface of the grass with open connections. This owner sells Park Model (Mobile Homes) and in the contract he promises and is paid to set iit on site, hook up all utilities and ANCHOR the home. All insurance companies insuring these units state in their policy and application for insurance these MUST be tied down with Hurricane stapping. The purchaser pays for these yet NONE have ever been tied down which means nobody's insurance company has to pay any claims since the policies were obtained fraudulently and applications were misrepresented to underwriting. He has also on at least one occasion purchased a Park Model, Sold It, Accepted Payments only to have the purchasers discover he never paid for it from the factory. On annual leases you pay up front for the year then the only recurring monthly bill is the electric you use. This owner charges an administrative fee on every electic bill almost equal to the actual electric cost giving him a large profit from the utility which is a violation of the law. DO NOT EVER pay with a credit or debit card as he has a history of charging these without permission either during your stay or after you leave. I know as my Visa was charged three times the day I left without my permission and no money was owed him at the time of my departure. He was experienced enough at this fraud to know better than charge my account the total at one time so he charged it three times in lesser amounts he knew would go through. If he forges my name on any documentation requested by my Bank I WILL prosecute as I never signed his lease. I also paid my electric bill hours before I left his campground hence my statement no monies were due on my acct. Again word to the wise either avoid this campground completely or watch your back and your bank account closely. Thanks

It took six months but Bank of America's investigation determined that Lumberjacks had no reason to charge my Visa the $440 and returned the monies back to my account.

Even though I paid my electric bill the evening prior to pulling out of this campground the owner John Cabell placed a trailer hitch lock on my travel trailer.  First key I put in it opened it up and it is a very nice and expensive lock.  I thank him for giving me this lock and use it to this day.

Again, never visit Lumberjacks Camping Resort / Lumberjacks Campground / Lumberjacks but if you do NEVER pay with anything but cash!

It took six months working with Bank of America fraud dept but when the owner of Lumberjack's failed to produce any evidence monies were owed or due him, all three fraudulent debit card charges and fees were permanently refunded to me. So it wasn't a case of me crying wolf, this abuse of customers who pay at this establishment using credit or debit cards by the Owner of Lumberjack's Camping Resort is proven by a reputable Nationwide bank to be fraudulent! SO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED PAY IN CASH OR AVOID THIS BUSINESS COMPLETELY.
