Complaint Review: Lutrell Shutz Haus

The Lutrell Shutz Haus website at http://lutrellshutzhaus.com/ offers German Shepherd puppies for sale at $500 per dog. When I reached out via their phone number (443) 842-6407 a man calling himself David Loerman (who has a heavy accent) answered & after providing basic contact information sent the following email:

“Hi,
     we are very pleased hearing back from you and happy you will be taking Macy, you will be making the payment via a Western union using the receiver's details below so we can start processing paperwork, shipping and delivered arrangements for him to be shipped and delivered to your home within 48 hours of purchase. Locate yourself a Western union store and request to do a Western union wired money transfer, they will provide you a form, where you will fill in the receiver's details as written below and hand it to the cashier alongside the cash amount to be send and they will they would process the payment and get back to you with a confirmation receipt that the money has been sent, which you will take a picture of it and sent back to us , so we start processing paperwork .

The above amount includes Home delivery fees which is $500 for the puppies and $50 for home delivery charges, which means upon arrival at the airport, she would  be delivered to your house directly using a delivery service Van from the airport on the day she arrive. Email us a picture of the receipt soon as you get done with the payment so we can proceed. Thanks and looking forward to hearing back from you soon.

I asked David for his address and he responded:

“we are located at 2617 Allendale Rd, Baltimore Maryland 21216, thank you.”

I then advised David via email [his email: lutrellbyguards@gmail.com] that I need to verify the puppies are at the address he provided and asked, “Would you be available at this address during the week if I contact a real estate agent in your area to follow up? I also have a friend in the general area that I can request to stop by but need to ask.”

As this point I didn’t hear back from him anymore. One other thing, David asked me what Dog I wanted. I selected Macy and he provided some pictures of Macy. There are currently pictures of 7 German Shepherd puppies on their website. One of the pictures that David sent via email of Macy was actually posted for on his website for another dog named Paxton.

I called the Baltimore, MD police department who took David’s phone number and asked me to call the Baltimore fraud dept at: 410 396-2400. I left them a message.

I also noticed another person who submitted a report on ripoffreport.com. This person actually sent money and didn’t hear back. The offer for $500 per dog is supposed to include free shipping. It seems they tried to extort more money out of this person by pretending that shipping regulations changed and therefore more money was required. This person didn’t hear back from them anymore either after attempting a refund. The other report was filed just s day before mine and can be found at:

I would be very weary of working with Lutrell Shutz Haus.
