I purchased this really nice shower/sauna/hot tub on E-bay
back in May of 2010. The told me they didn't have the item in stock that I had purchased and asked if I'd accept another model instead. I did. It arrived later than expected.
I hired
professionals to install it. It came with the worst set of instructions I
have ever tried to read. Not only was it a poor translation from Chinese but evidently
they did the cut and paste thing and left out a lot! The pros I hired (builder, plumber, electrician)were
unable to get the TV, MP3/MP4 player to work. Also it made noises in the
pump and heater that they could not determine the cause of. For problems you had to call and leave a message and then they'd get back with you sometimes in an hour but usually in a day or so. Therefore, my installers left the job with the unit not working correctly because they couldn't get help from the manufacturer.
It is now September
of 2010 and the thing still isn't working. I've been emailing and calling
back and forth. They send me directions to try this and try that to
repair the problem. They are refusing to replace the pump saying it is my
fault when the darn thing has never worked right. One of the pumps began acting up after the second time it was turned on. That pump and the heater have always made weird noises. One of the rings around the gets shot off broken the second time it was turned on. The food massager and one of the shower hoses fell apart. Never even used the foot massager.
It is of very poor design. There bottom slopes right where you have to stand to take a shower making it dangerous. The refrigerator can't be accessed without having to get out of the tub. The didn't include all the seals so water can get out of the doors if you use the spray jets. One of the remote controls didn't even make it through the second shower. The other recently quit. The TV has never worked. It won't accept input through the USB port. And you can't hook in your TV antenna because it is an analog TV which we did away with the analog signal last year!
I've got emails and records of phone calls made from the day the thing was uncrated to back up my correspondence with them. Remember when you were a kid and your parents refused to buy stuff made in China? Now I know why!
I wish I'd have found the time to go to a local store and shop where I would at least have a physical business to deal with and not emailing Arizona and China all the time. What a mess!
