Luxury Motors is the worst car dealership I have ever dealt with!! From the start he car advertised that I traved to see a 2004 Porsche Cayenne "had just been sold" - but they had at least 25 more to look at. When I settled on oneabd the lease was arranged they went to clean the car up.

Then after I had to insist on finding mats, owners manual and navigation dicss - none of which were in the car - I was ready to leave. Upon one further inspection two small dings on the right hand side were noted - like the car had been vandalized. These would not have been noticed initially because December in the upper midwest leaves every car coated with road grime.

The salesman, Daniel Rivers, called the manager, Manny Javid, He confessed that the dealership had a problem with a nearby apartment complex and some kids there shooting the cars on the lot with pellet guns. They would pay for this to be repaired at my home dealership. He wrote such on the back of his card and I left.

After getting 3 local estimates, $750, $930, $955. I tried to call - and I called, and I called for weeks !

No return calls from Manny, Daniel, or the other contact Brad Taylor. I tried to call their cell direct, I emailed, I even went through the out-of-state company they hired to do the title in Wisconsin. Her contacts at Luxury Motors would not respond either.

I have done what they wanted - given up and had the repairs done at my expense. I will send the bill with a copy of Manny Javid's note on his business card - certified. But I do not expect a response. From the other complaints on this web site it seems to be a pattern.

Open to any suggestions fron other readers of this RIP OFF REPORT !!

Within 2 days of posting on this site, Dave Rafus of Luxuxry Motors called me directly to apologize for the lack of response and to give me follow up on the employees involved. He knew of the vandalized vehicles on their lot and promptly offered to cover the bill.

He also said that there is now a customer service page on their web site that goes to the top - bypassing the salesmen - who may be unresponsive.

I was impressed with his responsiveness and will keep this site posted if problems arise, but I expect he will follow thru and cover the repairs.

Sincerely -

Just a suggestion for car dealings in the future..

We had been looking for a new truck for quite awhile, because no one had what we wanted. What we finally did was go to a dealer that we trusted and had them do a search for the exact vehicle we wanted. When one was found that met our approval, we had them bring it to THAT dealership for inspection by us. We had to pay a small deposit, but if we were not happy, that would be returned to us. We ended up buying the vehicle. Instead of having to drive 360 miles to go to the dealer that had the truck, it was brought to us...no strings attached. We maybe didn't get to negotiate as much as we would have liked, but we still got it for a very good deal after the trade in and all the rebates were applied. New car dealers swap cars all the time, so keep that in mind. Deal with a dealer you TRUST! There are still a few of them out there.
