My husband and I just purchased a house and closed on August 30th.  A month before we started our search for a moving company due to him being military and me being pregnant.  Being military we have had our share of moves and know how one should be done correctly and professionally.  We met up with Tim owner of Luxury Moving Specialist or Luxury Movers. He said it would be no problem he had a few trucks and we could get them booked for August 31st.  He said that he would help with the move due to some mounts my husband has that are high valuable.  So we went ahead and booked them with a $425 deposit.  Now we were just moving around 30-40 minutes away.

Well they show up 2 hours late on their first day in a car.  They packed for about 2-3 hours and ran out of boxes.  As they left he requested the money for the truck so I forked out $400 which I have these two receipts.  Again the next day they show up 2 hours late with a Budget truck!  They get the truck filled and we still have stuff in our rental house yet.  My husband ended up taking the high valuable mounts and we ended up using our own vehicles for our stuff that we paid to have packed and no inventory sheet was ever done.  So as we are leaving he requests gas money so I again hand out $40.00.  They didn't leave our new place until around 9-9:30 that night.

As they were leaving he requested more money so I gave him the remainding balance that the contract he had done again stated which was a total of $1525 now we were originally quoted and signed off to $1200 and said if it did go over it wouldn't be much.  Well I thought ok must be becaues of taxes.  Well no because the next day they show up 3 hours late after leaving the Budget truck in our driveway to finish up getting our belongings.  My husband calls me to get another $200 out he forgot to add in "taxes" to that $1525 in the contract.  So we get there they ran out of boxes again and took the felt wrapping blankets they had threw our stuff glass and all in them and tied them off.

Stuff was snuck into the trunk of my car, had live plants in the bottom of boxes with heavy items on top, had glass no wrapped at all thrown in these wraps and boxes, still cannot find my daughter's tablet, soccer trophy, any of my perfume, or the plate they sat on. I have never seen or heard of such a lousy and pathetic move.  To top it off my husband met them back to drop our belongings off because he was in on a pass and we had a tight time frame which did not go planned at all, so I could finish cleaning our rental.  When they got back Tim proceeded again to try and get another $100-$200 off him for that day's "labor" which we simply did not have.

Although they were late every single day, didn't pack anything properly, didn't have the proper truck, took 3 days instead of maybe 2, and over charged us and we couldn't even get the rest of our receipts.  Now I do have picturues of how poorly my stuff was thrown around and if you look at their website they seem legit but it is more like false advertising.  If you go to their facebook page you will see I'm not the first to have dealt with this from them, it's under Luxury Moving Specialists.  They have different contact information on there than they do their business card and website.  Facebook shows Mocksville but their site shows Winston Salem.  Please be aware I don't anybody having to deal with the move we had to deal with.  We would have done a better job doing it ourselves in all honesty.
