Complaint Review: LVAAP Aka USAPA

LVAAP Aka USAPA ripoff - Scam Sweepstakes confirmation letter that is actually a request for fees for some kind of newsletter. Las Vegas Nevada

The mailing address on the letter I received, dated 3-3-06 or 3-4-06, is identical to the LVAAP letters reported elsewhere, and uses that name on the form. However, the name on the envelope is U.S.A.P.A. - the PO box is the same, 98855 - but the ZIP code is different - 89193-8855.

The forms are still going out, and the scam artist is changing locations - probably to avoid getting caught.

I thought this was important to note - the new name, and the different Zip code.

Go get 'em, guys!

The only way to shut these people down is to get them for mail fraud. Send a copy of the letter and write out a complaint and send to:

United States Postal Inspection Service
Criminal Investigations Service Center
Attn: Mail Fraud
222 S. Riverside Plaza, Ste. 1250
Chicago, Il. 60606-6100

And for future reference, there is no such thing as free money. You cannot win a sweepstakes that you never entered, and in any legitimate sweepstakes, you never have to pay upfront money to claim winnings.

Write the letter to get these jerks shut down.
