I received a somewhat official looking document that claimed I had some unclaimed prize money I needed to receive. This document at first glance may appear genuine, but if you read the last paragraph before the detach perferation line, it tells the story.

It reads:
LVAAP is a service offered to our customers that provides information on available sweepstakes that are open to the public for entry. subscribers are solely responsible for investigating, viewing, and complying with any and all rules, restrictions, requirements, or provisions set forth in all sweepstakes. The contents of our newsletters are accurate to the best of our knowledge, and LVAAP shall not be liable for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Liability for any mistake or typographical errors is limited to a full refund of the purchase price of the publication. LVAAP has no association or affiliation with any particular spopnsor of any sweepstakes or contest. No such association should be inferred or implied.

They want $20 to release some report and I am to sign it also.

Giving them my signature would pretty much give them carte-blanche to all or most of my financial holdings, and could conceivably wipe me out completely.
