I  had ran my credit to get an apartment and got denied by paper mail.  I called the place that ran the report they said it was LVNV with judgement against me for $3127.13.

I asked if they had number to LVNV they said no, so I spent 2-3 hrs trying to find it online, I gave up because had to go work.  On my day off I looked again but finally found them on BBB online called they were closed at 4PM.  Who closes their business at 4PM if you know people might work until 5 PM.

I called them a person briefly answered and said to call atty general to file them  and I asked them if they had # they said gave me a # which turned out to be their atty.  Their attorney Weltman, Weinberg, & Reis who said it was from Household Card said it was from Best Buy which I know I paid in full and a little extra because I saved it up to pay. could someone please help me.

a few suggestions

it sound like they been to court and have a court judgement against you.

I am not an attorney.  I can only tell you what I know.  I would start by going to your local court and research any judgements against you.  Now there is something known as sewer service.

This is where a company will file a summons or complaint but will intentially claimed they served you at a different address.  They have all kinds of tricks

with sewer service.

Now, If they have a judgement.  Your only recourse is to file a motion to vacate.  You can hire a National Association of consumer protection attorney (NACPA).  They may take it on contingency.

If you want to do it yourself.  Try Debtorboards website.  They are a com.

Now,  they are non profit and don't want your money.  They can give you advise on how to vacate a judgement when sewer service is involved.

At this stage you could file a complaint with your attorney General.  I don't know if that will help.

LvNV Funding has a bad reputation.  They have been sued on numerous occasions.

You need to research and be proactive. Plan ahead to protect yourself.

Good luck and God Bless you.

Keep this site informed i will monitor it and maybe be able to give you other suggestions.
