M & M Mobil Gas station I purchased fuel at the gas station and my car stalled and I was told it was because it was contaminated with diesel Plantation Florida
4691 W Sunrise Blvd
NW 47th Ave
Plantation, FL 33313-6713
On May 22nd my vehicle (2011 KIA Soul) stalled and would not start, I called road side assistance and it was towed to the KIA dealership
On May 23rd I was told that the fuel was contaminated with Diesel.
On May 23rd, my husband went to the gas station to report the issue, and was told that they are inspected monthly and refused to discuss the issue
On May 24th I contacted Exxon Mobile and I was told that they would contact the company who owns the gas station as they do not own the stations. They provided me with the name of the company that owned the station.
Victory Petroleum, Inc
2200 South Dixie Highway
Suite 601
Miami, FL 33133
On May 24th I contacted Victory Petroleum and spoke with Mark Westling, Territory Manager for Victory Petroleum. He requested that I send him the gas receipt, the report from KIA and the receipt for the repair.
He also asked:
Do you always purchase your fuel at that station? NO
Was your previous fill up from there? No, I have never purchased fuel from that station
On May 25th I paid Gunther KIA 598.78 for the repair, and they provided me with a sample of the contaminated fuel.
On June 7th I called Consumer Services and I was told that an Inspector would be sent out to test the fuel.
On the 7th June I submitted a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) (case# 90209285) and they company has not responded to the complaint. I requested reimbursement for:
On June 10th an inspector tested the fuel and the results were negative for contaminates. However, he did tell me that fuel is replenished an estimated 2 times a week.
Since the initial contact with Mark Westling from Victory Petroleum and the subsequent email I sent to him on May 28th I made numerous calls, left numerous messages, emailed him and he never responded to me.
On July 1st I sent a certified letter to Victory Petroleum and I received a response stating that my claim was denied as no one else has complained and all tests came back negative.
I have the fuel provided to me by the KIA dealership that repaired my vehicle. After doing research it will cost me approx $800 to test it .
I want consumers to be aware when they purchase fuel from M & M Mobil Gas station.
Thank you
