Yesterday we received out monthly bill from T-Mobile and by checking the charges we discovered 2 premium service charges (3.99 and 9.99) on behalf of a company named 'Blinko'.

My son on whos number these charges appeared googled on the internet and found the site of this provider which claims to provide customers with cell phone ringtones and text message horoscopes. Since my son never used such a service he called the T-Mobile customer service in order to complain about these unauthorized charges. However he only got the information that they can't help him, but provided him with a telephone number he could call in order to contact this company Blinko directly. Unfortunately the telephone number was not in service anymore and the number on Blinkos internet site only provided an automated message system.

After this unsuccessful attempt I was calling T-Mobile again and this time I got an assitant on the line who was already familiar with the Blinko case. She immediately black listed the company in order to avoid further attempts to charge our account and also promised that the the entire amount will be refunded on the next telephone bill.

What company is that which according to the postings on rip-off report keeps charging innocent cell phone customers including ourselves with unauthorized charges w/o any requirement in order to proof their claim? Luckily at least T-Mobile seems to became alerted and is able to help customers, but certainly can only help those who check their bills frequently. They are certainly only the top of the iceberg.

I wonder whether this fraudulent behavior of Blinko has any legal foundation. If not, then it's time to put legal measures in place NOW in order to prevent other companies from doing the same 'bad business'.
