I sent a email to Mac-Forums:

"I have unsubscribed from all email from MacForums because your emails have been promoting shady sites. For example, today you sent a promotional email for VideoBlocks. When I looked for reviews before I did anything with the link (as I always do), here is what I found:

ripoffreport.com/r/videoblockscom/reston-virginia-20191/videoblockscom-footage-firm-deceptive-free-trial-reston-virginia-717040

Please consider vetting your ads before running them. There are a lot of trusting people out there who may potentially be defrauded."

I received the following response from Charles Scaglione, Mac-Forums Administrator (chsag@gmail.com):

"We at Mac-Forums have no control over what is advertised in the emails you’re receiving nor do we have any control over those emails. If you are dissatisfied   with any of the ads, you need to contact Stack Social who are the advertisers and the agency that is sending you the emails.

Mac-Forums Administrator"

I then checked out Stack Social and discovered they have a very low trust rating (10%) at(((REDACTED)))

I think it is deplorable that a site purporting to support Mac OS is promoting fraud.

BTW, I was going to make a post to one of the Mac-Forum.com forums and my account no longer exists.
