do not respond for a job as a salesman at this dealership an ad goes into the local paper needing salesman, you respond to it, but be sure to read closely.a $595 training coarse that you assume is paid by the dealership, wrong! the kicker is you go call for an interview,(oh yea, no walk ins, call,) and find out its not the dealership but, someone who puts on a so called training program, charges you this crazy amount of money for a duplicated binder of crap to handle your customers with.

at the end of this "read as you go training," you assume you have a binding job.on the last day your told to go to any dealership selected by the trainer and good luck, they don't know your coming or do they? you could do all this youself without the class. i wonder if the dealerships, Mac Haik included, gets a kick back from these training classes.the instructor tells you after 3 months the dealership will pay you back on the class , but, if they get rid of you before then, your out of a job, out your money and they keep placing their ad with their name on it, looking for salesman and taking advantage of people who's only interest is to create a living.

by the way, the dearlership will tell you they don't pay you back for this. so you begin your career, fully trained right? well now lets blow up balloons, have meetings, and move lots of cars and trucks from one section of the display lot to the other section. I'm sure this will make you lots of sales this week. during the coarse of your hands on,good luck training ,lets begin hell week. all customers are a sale, you should know everything about this job and if you don't we will yell like little babies and treat you like crap so we can replace you with a fresh piece of meat. your fired or you can go home.

i lasted a month before the grand call of, "i don't know why you didn't sell any cars, you tried so hard,"(i did sell two.)" i guess they didn't feel it in their ego trip or were stumbling on the bodies of those being let go for one reason or another." "we are going to have to let you go." dah! without professional managers teaching quality training how are you suppose to sell cars. oh yea and don't forget the special salesman, these are the ones provided with all the satisfaction of managements protection, leads,ok on the sale, want some time off guy, you get the picture. the best senario at this dealership is, you have to sell 8 cars a month or your out the door.give a guy a chance and train him and you might get 20 cars out the door.

i just looked in the paper, need seven more at this dealership or was it nine. i'm still trying to figure out what 9 x $595 a class comes up to. i guess its time to make some more money, besides selling cars. good luck in your future of selling cars. beware ! it could cost you.

The real truth why many businesses want their customers to like them.

#7Consumer Comment

Wed, November 02, 2005

I at one time sold cars for a living. I remember a salesman told me one time the following. If you get your customer to like you, you can take more of their money. Later I found what he said was VERY TRUE!

I got a guy to like me so much I was able to sell him a Nissan car and put a $3362.14 pay voucher in my pocket. Two hours and WHAM! $3362.14 went into my pocket. Want me to post a picture of the pay voucher?

Car buyers are like girl friends, the guy said. If they like you, You can stick it in much deeper and they will NOT complain about it. They even go home happy! Many of the car buyers that are happy with their car deals are the ones that got hosed DEEP and they don't even know it.

That's why I tell car buyers to NEVER buy a car from a car dealer you like, nor should you buy a car from a sales person you like. If you do, you will put yourself in what I call the 'UCZ" The "Unsafe Comfort ZONE"

If your warm fuzzy friend sold you a car, ask him or her to show you their pay voucher on YOUR car deal! I bet they will NOT show it to you! Cause they might have went DEEP on you. Funny part is you like them! SUCKER!

I know a local Cadillac dealer that says in their commercials. Come join our family, Let's be friends, I say BULL. If you go to a place of business that you like, if they give you that warm fuzzy feeling, YOU HAVE YOUR GUARD DOWN.

When I sold cars, I made the most or should I say I took the most from those who liked me. The ones who hated the world and everybody at the car dealer got the lowest price, Price is the only thing you should like or love.

Many sales people are trained to get their customers to like them. That way it makes it much easier to clean out their account. It you like your sales person, you are less likely to be watching EVERYTHING they do and say.

Mr. Pennyless, time does not permit us to go on with many, many, many more comments, just like these past trainees.

The car industry is what you make it. If you have a negative attitude from the start, then you will look for things that support your belief system. This is obvious in your case.

Mac Haik Ford is an exceptional automobile dealership and has hundreds upon hundreds of satisfied customers. Every business deserves to earn a profit based upon the amount of investment incurred.

As a novice to the auto industry, your insight and understanding as well as your frame of reference is limited. This is well understood.

#7Consumer Suggestion

Sun, January 30, 2005

Hey pennyless, What was the name of the training company that you had to pay $595 for their so called training package? Would love to get my hands on that. You have to understand that car dealers will do what ever makes money. Sell cars, steal frontend gross, kick the buyers trade and not tell them, Send false or should I say fraudulant credit applications to lenders just to get paper to hang. I could go on and on with their scams.

You tell me what you think! Can we all say FRAUD?
www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff52158.htm

You are not informed of the scams in the auto industry because your local talk radio and local news papers ans local TV News stations will not bring this kind of info to the public.

You ask why I bet! Because the media (TV stations, Talk Radio and newspapers) Do not want to upset the car dealers that are ripping you off!

Advertising money is so much more important then informing consumers. You then have to ask Who is on your side when it comes to car dealers. Ripoffreport.com is! Some in the media will say that Car dealer scams are not news! Other types of scams are. Why not car dealer scams?

Email these Talk radio station employees and ask them ALL why is it that you never hear them let their callers talk about car dealer Rip off's and see what they say. Post their responce on this Rip Off Report. Let's show the public why Talk radio stations refuse to help expose dirty car dealers and their Rip Off's.

The point I am trying to get accross, is that the car buying public is not being informed of current Rip Off's and car dealer scams because the general media does not want to bite the big $$$$ hands that feed them.

Try to go to any BBB in your state and ask to read any complaints about a car dealer that they have complaints on! Even the BBB will not inform car buyer.

Take some time and read the Rip Off Reports on what BS the car buyer has to deal with to get their trade in back or how much BS they have to deal with to get their down payment money back. Again don't try to BS me Mr car dealer!

Hey Mr Honest Car salesman what can we call this one? Maybe "we forgot to pay off the car Buyer's TRADE!
http://www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff89428.htm

Car Buyer's trade in falls in a REPO HOLE!
http://www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff89397.htm

Hey Mr car dealer what can we call this one? Maybe "Forged my signature'
http://www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff88651.htm

Can we call this one "contracts of many colors Mr car salesman or maybe " new contract to sign?
http://www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff88289.htm

In many states we do NOT have anybody that will pass a 3 day cooling off period. In other words once you sign all documentation you are TOAST if you change your mind. Car dealers do not want you to slid to the next "Sled Show" down the street O I mean their competition.

Car dealers playing with the car buyers Credit application after the buyer is long gone home. They try to make the car buyer look better in the bank's eyes so the car dealer is sure to get the buyer approved, even if the car dealer has to play the FRAUD GAME!

I am sure you want proof, so go to the rip Off Report and see for yourself. You tell me what you think! Can we all say FRAUD?

www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff52158.htm

Car dealers telling car buyers that if they do not buy the extended warranty they will not get the lower interest rate. And Some car dealers will get the buyer to agree to a warranty during the signing in the "BOX" and then a few days later behind the car Buyer's back they never pay for the warranty they sold to the car buyer. They keep the money.

www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff84186.htm

You my fellow Americans are not informed of the scams in the auto industry because your local talk radio, local news papers and local TV stations will not bring this to the public at all. If they did it would cost them BIG advertising money.

Yes I am sure that many would want to believe that the BBB is on the consumer's side of the fence. I have one question for you all.

Where does the BBB get their income from? Not the consumer, May they get it from the business that they are to be keeping a close eye on!

To all that read this. Email all of the above email addresses and ask why is it that you never hear about car dealer Rip Off's on their radio station. Then post their replys on this Rip Off Report. Let's look at this as putting them all to the test!

I will email these folks that I mentioned above and I will post their replys on this report for you all to read, So stay tuned to this Report because the "Stick" will be back very soon.

Respond to this Report!
