Mac Mall - Shawn Goldenberg Rebate Ripoff Dishonored rebate and refused to refund bank's Protest Fee. Torrance, California
This past summer I purchased a computer and software from MacMall at 2555 West 190 Street, Torrance, California 90504. My salesperson was Gary Mattson and my main order was S184044700022. I received several rebates after the nearly $4,000 sale; however, one rebate for $39.95 was refused. I notified Mr. Mattson and provided all the information he requested on November 4th. After a month of emails and phone calls, a supervisor named Shawn Goldenberg finally promised to credit my credit card account the entire amount of check and protest fee on December 1st. My credit card statement arrived on December 27th and does not show any refunds.

K.B....I too had purchased a computer for MacMall, and for my business, I was to get additional "free" items from them. The catch was, I was to pay for them upfront, and get the purchase cost back in the form of rebates. 11 weeks later, and still have over $300 in rebates owed to me (only one was honored). After contacting the BBB and the CA Attorney General, they promised to send me the rebates as a credit (to the card or in a check...it's never clear by them). Same as you, I'm still waiting for them. Not holding my breath.
I have contacted my credit card company, and because I purchased the items outright, I am confident that with the exact rebate info, I can get my money back that way.
$39.95 is all you are out. You are lucky. I will never even consider MacMall again....I even cancelled a back-ordered item.
