Last Oct. I had 100% of my rebate requests rejected by Mach speed for various dubious excuses. It took the BBB' s involvement and Linda, the customer service manager' s intervention for them to finally pay.

This June, I tried my luck again for a light weight headphone for $10 rebate. Again, they said three was not enough information. They asked for the invoice/shipping slip. I sent in both, including the only original shipping slip.

They cliamed the invoice which says Thanks for for Shopping with eCost.com did ot count and asked me to reprint on on eCost' s site. I looked and the invoice was the same as the one I had sent in.

Now they insist that I resubmit the same invoice that I sent originally. Where is the logic? Not mising anything, but you have to request for your rebate twice?
Either people there do not have any sense of logic or they are just trying to avoid paying for the rebates.
I will fight them to the end. I hope you too.

Chuck Shumer, Na ew York Senator, is reportedly working on regulations to crack down on these scamming manufacturers who use rebate to entise buys but have no intention to pay them.

If you are bit by this firm' s shameless rebate practice, you should probably send your complaints to Sen Shumer. This will be a very typical case for the justification of a regulation to protect consumers from these pradators.

You may also want to cotact the Conusmer advocacy groups and the Federal Trade Commision.I just cannot tolerate these scam artists.
