My drive has a 5 year warranty, but the computer company I bought it from went out of business. 3.5 years in, my drive failed.
Macsales.com initially wouldn't honor the warranty at all, and then only offered to sell me a refurbished drive at more than 3/4 the price of a new drive. Very sketchy way of doing business - it makes me feel like they're circling the drain.
Buy your drives from a company who stands behind them. WD, Kingston, Samsung etc. will warranty a drive within the warranty period. OWC will not. They might as well offer a lifetime warranty - they won't honor it anyway.
