On Jan. 19,2005 I purchased Mad Dog's 16x DVD +/-R/RW (MegaSTOR 6in1 DL 16X) for $89.99 from COMP USA with a promised manufacturers rebate of $30.00.

I promtly filled out and mailed off the rebate info the same day, everything, included (original store reciept, UPC from box & rebate form). I made copys of all.

When I had not recieved any rebate by April 19, 2005, I decided to check the status @ rebatestatus.com, the site indicated that my rebate was recieved and being processed.

When I had not recieved ANY rebate by May 12, 2005, I decided to contact MDMM rebates department by email, inquiring as to how long does' it take to process this rebate.

A MDMM rep replied to my email promising a rebate check (see text of email in next paragraph) within 4 weeks today is July 8, 2005, and I still have not recieved my rebate.

To Whom It May Concern: I submitted a rebate on 1-19-05, as of today I have not received a check, I know it typically takes up to 10 weeks, however it is going on 4 months now. Your website state it is being processed, how long does' that take? Consumers expect MDMM to make good on your advertised offers, this is why we BY your products (I'm a repeat buyer). My contact info is below????"
End of email text...

The long & short of this story is Mad Dog Mutimedia Inc., has not denied my rebate, because as with all the rebates I submit (and there are many), I made sure to send all required documentation and made copies of it prior to sending, Mad Dog Multimedia Inc., just has not sent me anything, not even a screw-u buddy note.

If you are reading this report you are probably considering bying a Mad Dog Product. If you are and you are expecting to get the manufacturers rebate.

I have a suggestion "DON'T DO IT"
"MAD DOG MULTIMEDIA IS GONNA ROB YA"

IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE LOOKING TO FILE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST MAD DOG MULTIMEDIA INC., (FOR FAILURE TO HONOR LEGITIMATE REBATES) PLEASE CONTACT ME THRU RIP-OFF REPORT.COM

Well comrads (fellow rebatees that have been jerked around) it has been a long journey (8 months and the counting has stopped).

MAD DOG MULTIMEDIA Incorporated has finally paid me my $30 measely dollars. THANK YOU, Mad Dog Executives for ensuring that your company STOPS breaking promises to your customers.

Here's what this FORMERLY loyal customer had to go thru to get a advertised rebate from this company. Listen-up and heed this!!

(1) Several months (3.5) of waiting for a rebate, that wasn't coming.

(2) Several months (2) of emails back and forth to Mad Dog's rebate customer service department, and promise after promise of a rebate to be sent this week\that week (if you don't receive it - contact us again, HAR_HAR_HAR), and still no rebate was sent.

(3) A formal complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau (because it is now seven months) and no rebate.

(4) FINALLY, voice mails left in the voice mail boxes of the Pres.\CEO, CFO, DOM, VPoS, DoPD and Senior Accountant. And copies of all the previous emails (sent & recieved) faxed to the same Officers of this company mentioned above sent to them on the day of mentioned voice mails.

(5) EUREKA & WA-LA, on August 13th (6 days shy of 8 months), my rebate check has arrived (in the form of a business check).

What have I learned from this experience?? A WHOLE LOT.

I will still\maybe (occasionally) by MDMM products (let's face it, they do make a fairly good product), however if there is an advertised MANUFACTURE'S rebate, I WILL NOT TOUCH IT, WON'T EVEN GIVE IT A SECOND LOOK, MATTER OF FACT I'M GONNA RUN\STAMPEDE AWAY FROM THAT PRODUCT.

I will never ever ever ever recommend a MAD DOG product to ANYONE other than someone I wish to have some momentary MISERY in their life and for me to have a laugh at that person's expense. HAR_HAR_HAR (last laugh).

The moral of this story is; COMRADES, YOU CAN GET YOUR ADVERTISED & PROMISED REBATES, but, you are gonna have to be PERSISTENT........!!!!!!

DON'T GO AWAY AND LET MAD DOG MULTIMEDIA CONTINUE TO DO THIS TO OTHER CUSTOMER'S. IF THEY KNOW WE WON'T STOP UNTIL WE GET OUR REBATES, THEY WILL STOP TRYING TO CHEAT US OUT OF THEM!!!!!

MORONS aka CHEATERS aka ROBBERS aka MAD DOG MULTIMEDIA, SHAME ON YOU???????

Thanks again Mad Dog for sending me MY rebate... BETTER (8 MONTHS) LATE THAN NEVER>>>.... huh.......NOT SO.... YOUR'RE gonna lose your customer base by playing itsi bitsi monitary games with people aka your CUSTOMERS..!!!

7 Months And Counting

It's been seven months now (and still counting) since I submitted the original rebate request. I've decided to let the Better Business Bureau handle the matter, maybe they'll have better success in getting me the $30.00 rebate that this frauldulent company (MDMM) advertised and promised. By the way I did recieve another email from Mad Dog promising to send my rebate (if it not there in a week please contact us [MDMM] again) THAT WAS TWO (2) WEEKS AGO, I guess the jokes on me for even thinking it would arrive (HAR-HAR-HAR), next step The Attorney General. Anyone open to the idea of asking the AG & US Government to pursue this frauldulent company in a class action suit please post to RIP-OFF REPORT (so we can get some attention focused on this company).
LET'S GET OUR REBATES FROM THOSE MORONS aka ROBBERS.
