How are we a Pyramid???

We are a SALES company. I am one of the company's Independent Sales Managers AND I am the company office manager. I am a 1099 Contractor - ON COMMISSION WITH NO SALARY GUARANTEE OR REQUIREMENT IN MY CONTRACT. Right now my office manager duties are purely volunteer and I do them gladly.

We do NOT just sell to "people who join us." In fact, there are three people on my sales team right now who DON'T have the service and can't because they are just as broke as I am! WE ARE SUCH A NEW COMPANY - ONLY OFF THE GROUND SINCE DECEMBER 3, 2009 - WE HAVEN'T SOLD A THING!!! NOT ONE DIME!!! So how does that make us a pyramid?

Also - none of my friends or family have joined my team nor bought a d**n thing...isn't the point of pyramids (and I have been a part of pyramids - with Mary Kay and Amway in my past) to sell products or recruit family or friends?

Our "corporate backing" is CLEAR Internet, a wireless internet service in Atlanta and several other US markets. THEY have billions of dollars in backing from companies such as Intel, Sprint and Microsoft, but WE don't get a dime from them unless we sell their product. And we haven't sold a thing yet! All they have done is been kind enough to donate some marketing materials. WE had to pay THEM to be an authorized reseller. Other than that, financially, it has all come out of our owners' and our own pockets.

The ONLY people recruiting, by the way, are the sales managers for their sales teams. Most people are hired in as a SALES REPRESENTATIVE and are not required to "recruit" or hire anyone. They are asked to make 6 sales a week of the CLEAR wireless product, and as long as that is done legally, we don't CARE how it's done. I have walked apartment complexes with flyers I've paid for, I've stood out on the side of the road in a shopping center in mid-30s and rain and wind trying to sell CLEAR. Sure, I ask the people that **I** hire to buy the CLEAR product, but if they can't, it doesn't mean they can't have a job.

And NO - we're not getting paid for 60 days - because it's COMMISSION ONLY, and CLEAR Commission is paid out net 60. This is CLEARLY stated in the employment contract, and everyone has to initial that specific point so we know they understand it. THIS IS COMMISSION-ONLY OUTSIDE SALES. Anyone who's ever done OUTSIDE SALES understands this is pretty industry-standard.

If this weren't a job, I wouldn't be so committed to giving my time and talents to it. I've been a part of pyramid schemes - I know what they are - this isn't it. This person making false accusations at us (and it is only one person - you can tell by the syntax of his/her writing and the way he/she flunked grammar in school) is obviously disgruntled for one reason or another, and I'm truly sorry for that. But they don't need to rain on our parade - they need to focus on themselves and getting themselves a real job, if we are SO fake. Ive really had enough of this. Matt McCloy is my best friend and TJ Macy is my husband. I live with them, and I have been submersed in all of this. I was there when they BOTH as well as ALL THE EMPLOYEES who were with RedShield were ripped off. I was there when they chose to TRY and make this situation into a positive. Ive been here seeing them working nonstop to make this work for everyone and now Im here watching you, whoever you are, attempt to RUIN them. I will NOT just sit back and let some coward drag my husband and best friends names through the mud.

In closing, I am sick and tired of whoever you are trying to ruin Matt, my husband, me, and my kids. They are trying as hard as they can to make this into a better life for us all.
