Complaint Review: MAD PHOENIX TECHNOLOGIES

Ive really had enough of this. Matt McCloy is my best friend and TJ Macy is my husband. I live with them, and I have been submersed in all of this. I was there when they BOTH as well as ALL THE EMPLOYEES who were with RedShield were ripped off. I was there when they chose to TRY and make this situation into a positive. Ive been here seeing them working nonstop to make this work for everyone and now Im here watching you, whoever you are, attempt to RUIN them. I will NOT just sit back and let some coward drag my husband and best friends names through the mud.
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A SCAM TO YOU A PYRAMID OR A JOB?
-      Its a SALES Job.
IT TAKES UP TO 8 WEEKS TO GET PAID A DIME.
-      Yes, Clear cuts the commission 60 days after a sale. They are just trying to make something positive out of all of former RedSheild ashes. Everyone who was with them was taken for a ride. EVERYONE. We, too, bought the product and we, too, are broke.
 
YOU ARE 'ASKED' TO SPEND YOUR MONEY BUYING THEIR PRODUCT PRIOR TO STARTING. YOU ARE 'ASKED' TO SPEND YOUR MONEY ADVERTISING THEIR 'OPPORTUNITY' OR JOB. YOU ARE ASKED TO SPEND YOUR MONEY WITHOUT REIMBURSEMENT INTRODUCING AND MEETING OTHERS TO REPEAT GETTING THEM TO BUY OR TAKE THE JOB TO NEIGHBORS FRIENDS FAMILY AND STRANGERS WHOMEVER YOU FIND.
-      Yes, you are asked to buy the product so you can sell it. You dont have to pay for anything if you dont want. They dont care HOW you sell as long as its legal.
THE COMPANY SAYS THEY HAVE A BILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION ON BOARD BUT OPERATES OUT OF A PERSONAL RESIDENCE.
-      Clear is backing them.trying to make a bad situation better. Yes, they are working out of OUR FAMILY RESIDENCE. It is a START UP and we spent our last dime on the last scumbag. I do NOT appreciate you posting my FAMILYs address all over the internet!!!!!!

-      Correct! And they ALL know the situation and the pay situation.
IN A DOWN ECONOMY AND IN A STATE WHERE UNEMPLOYMENT FORECLOSURES ARE HIGHEST OF ALL EVERYWHERE YOU ARE TO RECRUIT OTHERS TO BUY AND 'TAKE THIS JOB' STATING JOIN IN OR BUY OUR PRODUCT $100++ AND YOU'LL BE PAID TO SELL TO OTHERS THE SAME THING. IF YOUR CREDIT IS GOOD YOU CAN FINANCE PART OF THIS COST AND PAY ABOUT HALF??? I HAVE SOLD MANY PRODUCTS WITH LEGITIMATE COMPANIES AND THEY NEVER ASKED ME TO OR SUGGESTED FIRMLY THAT I BUY THE PRODUCT AT ALL FOR A JOB. IF ANYTHING, THEY GAVE ME THE PRODUCT TO SAMPLE. IN FACT FOR A JOB I DIDN'T SPEND A CENT. THEY GAVE ME THE PRODUCT MAYBE A CAR, CERTAINLY MONEY FOR GAS FOR APPOINTMENTS IF I WORKED FROM HOME. OTHERWISE THEY GAVE ME A REALLY NICE OFFICE A PHONE AND SUPPLIES AND I DIDN'T DRIVE AROUND. I WASN'T ASKED TO SPEND MY MONEY BEFORE I WAS PAID...FOR A JOB???
-      So dont work for them! They HAVE NOTHING TO OFFER except working toward a better future.

WOULD HE'D RATHER SEE US WAIT UP TO 2 MONTHS FOR PAY ON OUR HARD WORK TO MAKE HIS FAMILY RICHER? OR JUST HIM THIS TIME?..
-      You have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! Making him richer? Thats just funny seeing that they neither one has made a PENNY in the past two months, AT LEAST. I am the SOLE INCOME for us and our two children. You have no idea about Matts family situation and honestly its none of your d**n business.

I am happy to say that we are a legitimate company.  This sounds like it was either from a former disgruntled coworker who wants to attack our reputation or from someone who went through our interview process and was not chosen for a position.

I am a sales manager with Mad Phoenix Technologies and would like to both confirm and deny some of the accusers story.  We opened our doors on December 3 and are right now working from our homes.  Our President/Owner Matt McCloy does work from the address listed his basement.  We all work from our homes until we can raise enough company capital to open up offices in the north metro Atlanta area.  My sales team has met in my living room and we have had sales events in shopping center parking lots.  Other sales teams choose to meet at local open areas such as Starbucks or Borders.  We do interviews at locations mutually beneficial for our interviewees and ourselves.  We are not listed with Verizon because Verizon does not service our area we are in metro Atlanta which is a predominant AT&T market.  And no, we probably dont have a listing with AT&T because were working off our own cell phone bills. 

Mr. McCloy is the son of a prominent family here in Atlanta, and his family has money, but that does not mean that Mr. McCloy does not wish to forge his own path.  He is a disabled Army Ranger who was injured bravely in our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and takes those values and honor into his private life and into his professional career.  Mr. McCloy started this company to put people to work after many of us were a part of a fraudulent scam that ended when we were not paid by our former employer.  Coming out of that fraudulent situation myself, I would NEVER put my faith in ANYONE who I thought would not pay me or build a pyramid scheme.  And looking young is not a crime I am older than both the owners of this company and still look young myself? 

It is also true that everyone that works for us needs to purchase the product we sell, so they can have firsthand knowledge of the product and use it in product demonstrations.  Being a new company, we are unable to purchase these units for everyone at this time, but this small investment is disclosed in our job descriptions and job advertisements.  People know about this investment before they ever interview with us.  And I have a couple of people on my team who have not yet purchased the equipment because it IS the holiday season and they do not have the funds to do so.  Our company has not made a sale yet, as a matter of fact to anyone!  We are anxiously awaiting for that first sale and we are using a lot of different sales techniques to do so!  My team had a sales event where we set up a tent in the freezing cold in a shopping center parking lot last Saturday and I waved on the side of the road with a sign and we had chili and cake!  We are papering apartment complexes with flyers and meeting with their offices, trying to sell our product.  We are approaching small businesses who need internet access.  Our outside sales techniques should be familiar to ANY outside sales professional who knows what its like to push their product.  And just because someone does not want to buy the product right away does not mean that they cant sell for us!  I will take any outside sales professional who wants to sell for my company.  There are no fees to join because we arent a club and were not trying to have anyone join us we are a company hiring people for a legitimate job opportunity an Outside Sales Representative.

Why would Mr. McCloy also, with his own money, invest in our own website, distributorship fees, email accounts, and other startup costs if we were a scam?  It would have been just as easy to do what our former employer did bounce rent checks on nice offices, promise to pay their employees and then skip town, etc?  We have all signed LEGITIMATE contracts, developed by lawyers, that disclose that we are paid NET 60 DAYS for our efforts, which means our first paychecks will be in February 2010 for what we sell in December.  We are all very aware of the expectations, pay structure, etc. and no one working for this company has not signed a contract along with a W-4 form to file their payroll.  (I also happen to be the company office manager and have all of that paperwork.)

ALL of us every employee in this company is on their last financial leg.  I spend my good gas money driving around selling on promise of payment two months from now!  I have had to accept monies from my father and my boyfriend just to survive.  I had to ask for financial assistance for the community just to pay my rent for December because of the former scam I fell into.  I am going to lose my furniture tomorrow because I cant pay the bill.  But the people who are a part of this company believe in Mr. McCloy, believe in OUR vision, and are going to sacrifice whatever we need to to make this work.   

I am very sorry that there are people out there who want to tarnish our good name.  It makes me very sad that this is now what people see when they google Mad Phoenix Technologies.  I would hope that anyone curious about our company visit our website at www.madphoenixtech.com and contact us for more information.

This is TOTALLY UNTRUE! Matt McCloy has been the leader in trying to rebuild from the tragedy that was RedShield Clear Corp. He was the one person who helped lead the investigation against Louis Gibson and Jamila Steele who were "employing" people as a scam to take money and commissions earned from CLEAR. He helped rebuild a new company to give those who were scammed a new way to earn an income through a reputable business. I personally give Matt a lot of credit for standing up for the little guy(s) who have all been burned by the fraud that is Redshield Clear Corp and Louis Gibson. With his efforts we hope to put the TRUE con-man and scammer Louis Gibson in jail for a very long time. I challenge anyone to show me proof of Matt McCloy taking money from innocent people as a scam. That is an outright lie and a dis-service to his character. He too was conned and scammed by the "dream" and "vision" that Louis Gibson fronted via Redshield Clear Corp, and Matt McCloy has yet to see a dime let alone a penny for his hard work and effort. And now he is putting his energy into a new business which he along with his business partners and board of directors (previous Redshield employees/contractors) with the purpose of bringing justice for all of our hard work and efforts and to rise successfully from the burning ashes of the redshield disaster.

This is Matthew McCloy, President and owner of Mad Phoenix Technologies.  I just wanted to address some of these slanderous and ridiculous allegations made by an individual who is to coward to address them in a public forum.  First of all I would like to say that yes, I was stationed in Maryland, IN THE MILITARY.  Contrary to what is written I have lived in Alpharetta since 1996.  Check the Milton High School, Centennial High School, and Cottage School yearbooks.

I am completely shocked that someone would go above and beyond to try to tarnish a brand new company.  First of all, let us all get our facts straight...  Mad Phoenix Tech, is not a scam, however we know very much what is like to come from one.  Many of our people are people who worked for Red Shield Technologies, and worked for over a month with out pay.  (look up the news segment on WSB TV)  LEWIS GIBSON claimed to be a millionaire and claimed to run all these other reputable business's.  However HE turned out to be a scam.  A couple of us decided to turn a negative into a positive, and now we opened up our own company, as an authorized reseller of Clear.  I can promise you that if we were a scam, Clear would not be backing us.  Especially after the whole Lewis Gibson episode Clear had.  Please keep in mind that Lewis lost his whole company, and reputation all within a matter of days.  I don't believe he is happy about this, and has set out to tarnish OUR name.  I am one of the owners of Mad Phoenix Tech, and I can say we are as legal as it gets.  Feel free to contact any one of our contractors, and speak with them about this company. Clear Wire supports this company, and is working very hard with us to make a negative into a positive.  As far as Matt McCloy is concerned, he is an honest, hard working man that blew the whistle off of the scam that was Redshield.  No body was effected as hard as Matt was who was the Formal Vice President of Opps, for Redshield.  Matt is a very respected veteran, and has the full support of each of his employees.
