Last October 2003. Myself and two friends joined Mademoiselle at the Gratham Plaza. We all stated that we wanted to wait for the new location on Bunting road to open before joining. We were told by Allison the sales rep. that Bunting road would be opening shortly and we could transfer our membership over at no extra fee. It is now September 8 2004 and the Bunting road location has not opened. We have been to the Gratham location and do not like it. You ask for help with the equipment everyone is too busy unless you pay a fee for a personal trainer.

We had to pay $100.00 for an assessment. We were to get pictures taken and reassed every 3 months, 11 months later we still have no pictures and no one has us called to be reassed since the first assessment. I must admit that we have not been into the club since February, as we are deeply disappoint in it.

We were also told that if we state a month before our membership comes due our intentions to continue with the membership our cost would be $29.00 a month. When I phoned up to see when the Bunting location would be opening I was told by one person that they did not know. I phoned again and was told by someone else that it 10,000 feet would be opened in a couple of weeks and the rest sometimes in November.

I have been told differnt dates since last October. I was also told that there is no $29/month special for the second year. When I called Alison I was told she was with a client and would return my call in 1/2hour. I waited over 2 hours before calling back. She was in a "meeting"

I feel we were lied too, taken advantage of, and we are all out a large sum of money because Mademoiselle is not an honest business.

I recently went back in to Mademoiselle to make sure that my membership was not renewed. After talking to the new costumer service rep Maria, I am glad to report that all the bad people (Alsion) no longer work for the company. I was given an extention of my membership of 5 months. They will also honour the $29.00/month that I and my friends where quoted. I expected another battle, but instead found the staff to be more then willing to correct pass grievances. I would recommend anyone who has had trouble in the past to give the Gratham Mademoiselle another chance. I also had a reassessment by Stephanie and this time I felt like I was being listen to and not just taking up space. To the new staff at Mademoiselle I say WELL DONE!
