Magazine Customer Service Synapse Makes Unauthorized Overcharges, Promises to Remove Them, But Doesn't New York Nationwide

Expect to be cheated in you deal with this company!

They give you a reasonable rate for your magazine subscription for the first year.  In small print, they say, "We wil lcontact you at least six weeks before your renewal date.  If we don't hear from you, we'll renew your subscription."

The truth:  They didn't contact me before renewing my two subscriptions.  They charged 2-3 times the publisher's rate:  $41 instead of $15; $37 instead of $18.

When I caught it and called to complain, the agent tried to claim that these were the publisher's regular rates.  I asked for immediate cancellation and refund of all remaining issues, as promised on their website.  The agent reluctantly agreed to cancel and refund.  But they never did.

So, only use these company if you enjoy being a sucker!
