I have audio cutout problems with Magic Jack..
Chatted with 7 of their technicans for 5 hours of multiple fixes. Not one of their fixes does anything to clear up my cutting out audio problem. WE have tried 16 different fixes with them but still have problems. So I bought a new computer, installed 3gig high speed internet, and bought a new magic jack, SAME PROBLEM I only hear about half of any conversation and visa-versa for the listener. Half the time the phone will not hang up so callers get a busy signal. It is just the worst computing problem I have ever encountered. After they fix my magic jack, if they can, i am taking them to small claims court to re-coup the last 3 days of my life trying desperately to get a working Magic Jack. Anyone else experiencing this cutout problem with conversations on Magic Jack? Also there mus be a phone number for their company so I can talk to an Executive. Does anyone have either a phone number for them or an address?

I fixed the problem, I returned the Magic Jack to Radio Shack. My connection  is 24 gigs down and 3 gigs up. No packet loss, Ping 24ms, Flutter 1ms. I am using AT&T Uverse.
2 days ago the Lineman for AT&T switched lines on the telephone pole. He said my wires were not so good. He said the new wires were 100% better (twice as good) and their computer center was no longer getting crosstalk errors from my connection. Magic Jack may work ok now, but I am so down on Magic Jack that I refuse to try their product again. Never in my life have I spent so much of my time on a particular problem. I still think it is a flawed product, and don't recommend it to anyone. Case in point; Just run Utorrent Peer to Peer sharing program and see the instant degradation to Magic Jacks audio. You can have the greatest connectivity to your internet provider and still get cutting-out audio on Magic Jack. I'm sorry but VOIP just sucks! It is a flawed technology.

Really?!?!? No...seriously. Ok, the service is 19.95 per...YEAR...not month...YEAR. Secondly, it is totally contengent upon a "working" internet service. Packet loss will give you this audio problem. I'm only saying this because you never mentioned whether or not you checked your internet reliability. I won't say connection because you can still browse web pages and it would seem as if nothing is wrong until you load games or other programs, such as VOIP, that rely on a solid connection and start seeing the lag.

I hope you figure it out, and I'm sorry if I came off as a jerk but in my line of work I deal with people who threaten lawsuits because they downloaded virus protection and still got a virus...no seriously. As idiotic as that sounds, it's true.
