magic jack, lp internet phone provider West Palm Beach Florida
I contracted with magic jack IP phone service around 2009. For over 3 years I recieved excellant service which included call forwarding. Because call forwarding was included in the service contract, i extended my service until 2017(about $80). However, around the beginning of 2013 call forwarding has unexpectantly been discontinued. I have called at least 5 times to ask if this can be repaired since this feature was the deciding factor for my continued contract and was told that they are working on the problem, but did not know when it would be back in service. The last 2 times i called i was informed of this again so i requested that my contract time be extended the time that forwarding out of service. I was informed both times that this was not an option. I still have no call forwarding...

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Because i paid for a service and i am NOT recieveing that service or compensation. I am tired of this crap. I will handle it as previously described. Going in circles is not a solution....
Call forwarding has been unavailable since September 2012.
Customers who had call forwarding enabled on a specific device and telephone number at the time of the change could still use the feature by managing it through a special link for their my.magicJack account.
Mr. Bob did not have the feature enabled at the time of the change, more than 1 year ago.
As we explained in our 8/21/2013 response, one option that may work for Mr. bob as an alternative to call forwarding, is to download the magicJack APP to his mobile iPhone or Android and assign his same telephone number to the APP, which will allow calls to his number to be delivered to his mobile iPhone or Android.
Maybe.... I will inform the 2000+ people i see every day at the airport of the unethical situation with magicjack and i will ask there impartial opinion about their resolution. This way i can see who is at fault.... good solution?
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Whats the resolution? I complained about the ending of my call forwarding feature THAT I PAID FOR and now they are CONFIRMING THE UNETHICAL ACT of ending it and that i will MAYBE get to pay for it AGAIN.NOT much of a solution.
here is a resolution, give me what i paid for or give me compensation of similar value.....
As we explained in our previous response, call forwarding has been unavailable since September 2012.
We may offer call forwarding as a billable feature in the future, but we do not have a date for availability of that feature.
yes i wanted to add that my original problem has NOT been resolved and i have not heard from anyone concerning this issue...
What can i do now?
oh and to add. if i had an android phone i wouldnt need the d**n magic jack... they admit that forwarding was part of the original deal. now it is not... i therefore deserve compensation... i suggest ether making forwarding available at no charge as originally agreed or adding a year to my service...
i have received nothing from magic jak. they told me today that the cal forwarding is still being upgraded but is not functional. i am paying for call forwarding but i am still not able to use it for a t least 1 year now and i have no reason to believe it will be fixed any time soon.
