Magic Kids, USA Don't get scammed, I won't buy from you Canoga Park California
To all those who are distributors, or are thinking about becoming a distributor- I own a children's clothing store. I have been in business for 5 years now. For the last 3 or 4 years, I have received literally hundreds and hundreds of postcards, letters, emails and even phone calls from "distributors" for this company. It has reached the point that I consider it harassment.
I contacted the company last year and asked to be removed from there lists, and was told they "couldn't". I complained to the BBB, and received a call from the owner of the company - not the name he uses to try to hook you into selling for him. He told me he gets the lists he sells to you all from a book you can buy for $40. (I have read here that he sells lists to you for as much as $500) He simply copies the pages and sends them to you.
Listen, anyone here in my community can purchase the same merchandise for sale at Magic Kids at their local Dollar General Store. You see, they purchase their clothing the same way as the owner of Magic Kids - overruns, out-of-season, and seconds. In fact, in the retail business, all the brand clothing they sell would be considered seconds.
I own a boutique. I have no interest in selling seconds. We have at least a dozen Dollar General Stores in our area, and I'm not interested in competing with them.
So do me and other store owners a favor - don't send us your flyers and postcards. We are not interested in your merchandise. It is out of date, old merchandise that would perhaps sell okay at a flea market, but not in a retail children's store. Why don't you invest your time and money in a legitimate business?
If you read the other Ripoff reports about this company, you will find that honest people have spent hundreds of dollars sending out flyers to stores like mine. What a waste of time and money!

Slander Against Magic Kids Due to Fear of Compatition.

I would like to address each claim in sequence. First of all, we do not disclose any company information with outside company(s), especially not with a discount store. In the past few years, we only received 1 call from a store requesting that we delete their name from the leads that we sell. We did as the store owner had requested, only we issue 1 list per dealer, so that no other dealer would receive the same listing as the other, since that would cause conflict between our dealers and whats promised from our company. The only way that this store owner was contacted by other dealer(s) is by the dealer(s) finding her on their own. Her store is listed somewhere other then from Magic Kids. There are ways for dealers to make their own leads by simply searching for stores, boutiques, and wholesalers online or through yellow pages and other data companies. Some of these resources are free, while others may cost the dealer(s) money to produce / purchase. We cannot limit dealer(s) to not contact this or any other store, since they are listed. Maybe the dealer(s) lives in the same area and contacted her. We did our part, but we are limited to telling people whom they cannot contact.
Secondly we do not disclose any of our company information to other stores or companies. We never told her that we sell the lists for $500.00 nor from where we receive our leads lists. She is lying about the way we conduct our business and you will see why, keep reading.
We are one of the leading companies of closeout children apparel. All of our merchandise is Brand New and we do not sell or deal with seconds, like Laura falsely claimed. She owns a boutique and for her we are her competition. She has every incentive to slander our name, and cause us to lose business. If she can prevent even 1 person from buying from us, and they buy from her then it was worth her wild. Although we are online and not a physical store, we are competition. We have an amazing selection of Quality clothing for all occasions. We carry fine boy suits, girls dresses for all occasions, whether its fancy, handmade, party, and casual dresses, we cater to all buyers. We have a wonderful selection of casual apparel, accessories and foot wear for all ages. We not only have the lowest prices, but we also carry licensed goods and the most famous brand names. We have merchandise that boutiques can not get there hands on, and if they could, that means they're paying more, which means you're paying more as well. We have been growing and more and more people are turning to Magic Kids for their children clothes. All this is a real worry for Laura, and there for, she has issued these false claims against our company. Please have her send proof that she received merchandise from us, which would allow her to issue her statements based on her opinion. I know she did not receive any merchandise from our company, since we have never and will never purchase and sell seconds. She has no proof to her claims and is there for lying!!!
